After weeks of my youngest son's torture I decided to give in and change our broadband provider to Virgin Fiber Optic package with TV and Phone line (i have to say it was very cost efficient). I believe this was the worst decision I could have made. After going through the whole application process and verification that Fiber optics can be installed at our home (i checked online and called them) i completed the order and informed our old supplier that we require termination. After waiting the usual 3-4 weeks the engineers finally arrived only to spend 5 minutes looking around and to inform me that the fiber optics cable was a couple of meters away and thus they could not connect this service. I was a bit upset as our old provider would discontinue their service on that day. So I asked if the could instead connect us with their normal broadband services but they refused, I asked for an explanation as to why they couldn't and they said they had none and I should call up the customer service team and the would clarify everything! Like hell they did!! the representative was extremely rude, the would not send the appropriate engineers for another 3-4 weeks and they were unable to provide an explanation as to why the did not know fiber optics could not be installed on the first place! I would expect a company as virgin to at least have the decency and pro activeness to at least offer a prompt solution to their customers for such issues.Needless to say i canceled my order and went to sky!

things will get worse, i Used to work for this company, so glad im out of there, get the customer off the phone asap so we keep costs down, double speed supposed to be free, but its not, your price is going up whether the customer likes it or not, a lot of people will bite their lips, the over priced increase means you can cancel the service without early disconnection fees applied, i know i would and have, robbers and NO value for the money, Always has faults where they cant fix.
