Had the Virgin broadband/ tv package for a couple of years without any issues apart from dealing with offshore customer services (a mind boggling experience that finished up with me not getting some of the free channels that came in my bundle because the foreigners in a certain Asian country couldn't understand what I was saying to the point where I just gave up). My broadband speeds have always been fine, and the TV package is cool.
On one occasion a support person who was in a bad mood wiped my router unnecessarily ostensibly while trying to fix a fault on my line, which was nice. And I was unable to lodge a complaint.
Discovered 24 hours ago that the broadband down. Have spoken to customer services 4 times since and been consistently fobbed off with a "wait 3 hours and it will be back" up until I explained I work for a global financial company and go on-call and really do quite need that broadband, whereupon the UK guy informed me my ticket said it would be fixed by Monday lunchtime (it's now Sunday). Ie when someone is back in the office and they don't have to pay OT. Consistently unprofessional Customer Services, lying and fobbing off the customer consistently. Awful.
