I work from home and I enjoy gaming on-line, I rarely download videos or music, but I do do a lot of research which means opening several web pages at a time, so I had Virgins top level broadband package, shouldn't be an issue? Think again.
Because I use the internet for 8+ hours a day and because this is in Virgins "peak time" my service is constantly restricted, meaning I rarely get what I pay for, I was told by one representative of Virgin that perhaps I should change my working hours to start at midnight as there wouldn't be a problem then, I restrained myself with some effort I might add.
Billing is an issue too, you agree a price double check with the sales person, everyone wants to know the exact amount you will be charged each month and everything seems ok, then you get a bill which is way higher than what you were told, so you question it, bad mistake you'll spend over an hour on the phone being sent from pillar to post and to top it off each person you speak to will try and sell you something, which they seem to be more concerned about than your actual problem.
My advice is to stay clear unless you are a light user with more money than sense, Branson needs to sort his company out as they are starting to like like his failed balloon attempts High promises full of hot air and failure to deliver.
