Got hooked in when I thought I was replying to a talktalk email (was a talk talk customer at the time). Turned out it was a timetalk salesman - somehow managed to persuade me to change supplier - promising cheaper rates and faster performance. Not cheaper and not faster! Nightmare to leave - so many hoops and additional costs. Now years later I am being hounded by their debt management dept for non return of the router! Very upsetting, threatening and confrontational phone calls - literally told "we will harass you until you pay" - when confronted that this is not legal - threatened that they are legally entitled to phone 3 times a day for up to 6 years until I pay the alleged debt!. Please please please do not join this company.

Time talk is deserves to be banned by OFCOM for the service provided, for the way they confront vulnerable people, hoodwink one into think they've signed up withy Talk Talk and hidden charges away without notifying their customers openly. I disputed a rise of £48.99 per month for my broadband service when I discoverd the increae when review my Direct Debits 14 months later. Ther was no offer to reduce the fee, no sympathy or understanding, just an insistance that they were correct and the attitude "tough old man!" The sooner OFCOM investigates this company and dismiss them from providing internet services anywhere in the world cannot come too soon.

“Stressful Traumatic rubbish”

written by 197Sutton on 10/08/2018

I had accidentally got trapped into this company whilst trying to call talk talk! Time talk - the internet was horrendously bad it did nothing! University suffered and so did work! Then they took what ever money they felt like from my bank. Long hold times , passed from pillar to post and nothing ever sorted. Tried to take it further and some how went in time talks favour. Claimed money back from my bank and had to change details to prevent them taking further payments from my account. Now receiving debt texts wanting to claim money back over two years later! I was so stressed throughout my time with this company! Phone calls daily! Loosing it on the phone after hours of being passed around to accomplish nothing and to be told they dont believe I have no internet and I would be surprised how many people lie! Sooooo many people are online complaining about this company THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT ???? it’s not the odd complaint it’s full of bad reviews all of the same nature! I can’t fill the stars out as they don’t deserve one for anything!

Tthe debt company was dissolved in 2016 through going into debt. The Quick Connect & Time Talk are at the same address. They are trying to sham money out of people before they go bankrupt too.
Do not give in to them at all costs.
Lying, cheating company that should’ve been shut down years ago.
Ignore all correspondence
Hope this helps loads of folk who’ve had these letters

They're after me. Told them I don't owe because I don't. Quick Collect have now passed it to timetalks legal time. Do not engage in telephone conversation. Do not email. Old fashioned letter writing is needed with them. I've informed Ofcom. I've asked for proof, ask for the transcripts etc. They have to prove where and when they think the debt came from not you. I think their practices are disgusting.

In the same position - Quick Collect after money for failure to return the router - having left the company almost 4 years ago.
They are claiming they are legally entitled to phone me 3 times a day for the next 6 years - to recover the debt. And that they will start charging interest and other charges if I dont pay up - either £63 now or it could be over £500.
Have asked for their claims to be put in writing so I can ask CISAS to adjudicate.

“Disgraceful DO NOT SIGN UP”

written by greghough on 08/11/2017

I am writing a review on behalf of my girlfriend who has had some of the worst experiences with this company! The Wifi she received from this company was below poor and every time she tried to ring this company was put on hold for over 40mins .... I imagine this is their tactic as other reviews all say getting through to them is very hard! When she finally got through she was told that they would swap lines and that they could see our WIFI was poor .... this had no impact what so ever. When she finally had enough and wanted to leave she was put through to an arrogant and rude member of staff who I also had the pleasure of trying to make this person realise the atrocious way this company is run! When we asked to be put though to a manger ... He refused outright ????? In what normal company is this ever acceptable and in practice! The person I dealt with clearly made us understand that it was a £84 termination fee and we later found out that the router is £69 if not returned.... HOW IS THAT ROUTER WORTH £69 !!! PLEASE EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH! THEY CANNOT SEE PAST THE FACT THEY EXPLOIT PEOPLE AND THEIR STAFF REALLY DO NOT CARE AND HAVE NO COMPASSION. CUSTOMER SERVICE THE WORST I HAVE EVER COME ACROSS! This company should be shut down!

written by panx on 02/11/2017

I have signed to this company for 2 yrs now and held at ransom. I paid for ADSL line with 8mb + and they only provided 1 meg and also capped the router to ensure 2 mg cap. I attempted a number of time to fix the issue with no success. Finally, asked network expert to review the router setting and found out that it was capped! shocking! I asked them to let me go then they told me that the cancellation fee is going to be £80 in total. What a joke. I am sure this is illegal and they are suppose to give me 8 meg Plus speed. I thing they have another sister company called SuperNet... Don't go with them!!!!

“Don't waste your time or money.”

★☆☆☆☆

written by AwfulService83 on 11/07/2017

The worst service from a company I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. The router turned up and we had very average internet speeds for about three or four months until some work was done and our live was disconnected. We then phoned about five times asking for an engineer and every time we were brushed off or the engineer did not turn up. Then every time we phoned to cancel they said they needed to refer it to a manager who would get back to us who, surprise did not. At this point we had been receiving no services from them for five months while paying so i cancelled the direct debit as they were doing nothing about it. They then turned round and lied about the logs they kept telling us an engineer had been out an sorted the problem (despite having no internet for seven months at this point) and sent a fantastic letter demanding late fees for outstanding payment. Customer service is non existent. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS HORRENDOUS COMPANY! GET A PROPER PROVIDER!

i spoke to someone recently about moving house which there is a big amount to pay to move timetalk over, which i cant afford and dont want to be stuck in another 24months contact with them as they arnt the best company i have been with. When i signed up 7 months ago i signed up to 24month contract and i never got made aware if i was to move there would be a large charge and your contract would start again so another 24 months contract or pay over 300quid for a cancellation charge. in my opinion this is a way to keep people stuck in a contract with them and rip them off more money

I was a fool and signed up, only having rang as I thought was sky TV. I was told the operative is a representative of sky. I have had 2 x boxes and the internet. I can honestly say I have had my pants pulled down and my bottom slapped with the deal the Richard Branson wannabe sold me. The internet is as much as useless, and as a result viewing anything on their system is a pointless exercise. To add insult to injury they are now demanding £221 For me to cancel a contract that is not only daylight robbery It is an absolute liberty. I can get the exact same thing for a one of buy of £50 And I know it acually works.

My contract ends on 5th Nov, I wrote and advised I would not be renewing. I called 1 month ago as due on 6th Oct to advise that I would not be renewing on 5th Nov. I was advised by Time Talk that I was terminating the contract early not advising of non renewal and would be liable to pay cancellation fees. If I wanted to avoid the fees I would have to call on the day of the finish of the contract and wait a further 1 month to migrate to a new provider. To me this is just an excuse to charge the early termination fees. Is this right? I just would not trust them ever again

I received an E-mail from Timetalk informing me that my bill would be increasing, and as part of the conditions, if I was affected by this, I had the right to cancel without fees. I did so, but was informed that I would have to pay the fees. My best advice is that if you have to pay, then do so under protest, then take the matter up with CISAS, the on line ombudsman for broadband, and claim not just a refund, but compensation for aggravation. I am told this has been successful in the past.

Don't take any notice of what they say.If you wait until the last date of the contract and phone them, they may not answer anyway. The don't seem to take notice of phone calls or letters. They are trying to get more money from you when you've already done the correct thing in letting them know you wouldn't be renewing.THEY TRY TO FRIGHTEN PEOPLE.Change to a new provider as soon as you can.If need be cancel your Direct Debit so they cant take any more money from you.Its all happened to me and many others with this company.

As you have already notified them of cancellation, In order of Priority you should:- Look at the various alternatives. I chose PlusNet a they are among the better providers. Choose whom you like the look of and make an initial approach. Contact your bank and cancel your direct debit with immediate effect. Remember that you will have paid up in advance for the current month and if you act now you should be able to complete any changeover before 5 November. You will thus not owe them an extra penny. Request a MAC code to enable your transfer. TimeTalk MUST provide this within 5 working days. Do not use the phone - it will cost you dear. Email and confirm by recorded delivery Royal Mail. This proves your audit trail. TimeTalk will continue to hound you for as much money as they think they can get away with. Under no circumstances give the any credit or debit card number. They will use it again and again to take money from you. If you feel you are indebted to them, post them a cheque. Stand firm and do not give in. Make it clear that you will see them in the County Court first. The above advice is from my personal dealings with TimeTalk and those over the past six weeks of a close friend and neighbour. Please ditch them, who are the Ryanair of ISPs ASAP. They may initially be cheap but they can't deliver (particularly superfast broadband) are in my experience totally without scruples. I have to disagree with haephestus below DO NOTY PAY a penny. I have seen the email he mentions and his experience confirms my experience. Do not forget to cancel the direct Debit.

I gave my bank details to Time Talk regarding internet and phone service. I was informed a technician would be out the install the relevant line. The technician never showed up. So I got the services from another provider. 17 months later I changed my bank, to my dismay I realised Time talk has been taking out £39.00 for 17 months for services. I was never aware of and most definitely never used. I received no notification or contract pertaining to these services. Spoke to their customer service about this I was offered £352.00, instead of £741.00. What can I do to get my money back?

1) Complain to Ofcom. This takes a long time to resolve. 2) Take it up to small claims Court. 3) Citizens Advice Bureau. I would recommend to take them up to Small Claims Court. If you don't know how to go about it. Go to Citizens Advice Bureau, they will tell you. Good Luck.

Hi. Their terms say that they won't charge until services are provided. I'd double check to make sure they're not providing you with a service. Also I think you have to cancel the services so if the technician never went out you would still need to contact them. I would have to disagree with 3rdchilds response regarding small claims court. I've been involved in one before and its an awful lot of work. I would check their complaints procedure on their site and if they don't resolve it check their ADR provider and take it to them. Hope this helps!
