“WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS?”

Written on: 01/09/2011

I have experienced many of the problems people on this site have reported. My advice - keep paper proof. Supanet always find it is their fault when they learn you have proof. I have a file an inch thick. My next step is Trading Standards, Oftel and Watchdog. Would be good if others followed.

I totally agree. I have been Supanet customer for almost 20 years now and up to the last year or so have found the service good. In the last year however my ebills have stopped and my charges have been going up. I am on a £15.99 a month contract and have been paying way over that since October last year. The direct debit comes from my Husbands account and he hadn't mentioned this until this month when the bill was over£30! There has been an extra charge of a telecommunications service of £4.99 added too. I have questioned if this is in fact legaI.I checked my bills since October last year and have now listed to them the refund I would like. I did say I would cancel if this isn't resolved and i just got a curt one line message telling me the cancellation teams phone number. I told them how rude I thought this was and they have now offered about a quarter of what I have been overcharged. I have written back saying this was not acceptable and my next move will be Trading Standards and/or Watchdog. Yes, if everyone complained maybe something would be done. What a way to run a business. My other problem is that I am tied into a contract for 18 months but will fight to get out of this if my refund isn't forthcoming.

I've reported them to \"Action on Fraud\" - http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/

Maybe other should too - it's a bit of a long-winded process but it seems to be serious and if enough people complain to them maybe we'll get some result.
