“Happy days. Doing very nicely. Thank you”

I Finally carried out my threat and kicked BT into the long grass.

True to form even on the very last day with BT, the BT (India) helpline, insisted I had a fault on the line, whereas it was in fact the broadband migration service taking place, albeit one day early.
Confirmation if needed, that I was right to migrate away from BT.
( don't know how to say goodbye in Indian, so apologies for using English)

As stated migration took place one day earlier than planned, and I guess I could criticise Plusnet for not pre notifying me of this.
( it would have saved me talking to BT (India) about why my broadband had stopped working)

The migration completed at 9pm and my first encounter with the Plusnet help desk re installation of security software, took place 30 minutes later.

Guess what, they understood every single word I said first time, and I understood every single word they said first time.
Result, issue sorted out within moments.( take note BT (India).

So, I am now 10 days into my Plusnet contract, and no troubles at all.
Very reliable service, very good speeds ( doing speed checks 3 x per day).

That is all I ever want from any ISP.

Unless there is a complete disaster, I can see me staying with Plusnet for a very long time.

ps I love the easy to use personal useage meter / chart, not that I will be going anywhere near the 60gb monthly limit.

Happy days

Did you realise you have gone from BT to BT, since Plusnet is owned by BT? Main difference seems to be price and UK call centres - unless a lot of people in Banaglore have managed to learn very convincing Yorkshire acccents! I've just signed up for Plusnet Fibre with my eyes wide open. I am hoping that the new offering is better than the experience of some recent ADSL reviews! If i'm wrong it will be an expensive mistake.

Yes I was aware plusnet is owned by BT, but thank God theirs is a purely financiaL interest and as such plusnet is run independently, with no, repeat no Indian sub continent contact with customers.
After years of absolute rubbish from BT I am still overwhelmed at being understood and being able to understand first time every time if I have a querry.
As for service / reliability / speed etc, , I am now in my 3rd month with plusnet and absolutely spot on. Shouild have joined yonks ago.
