We have been with origin broadband for a number of years now and I can definitely say we would never change to another provider. We have our Internet and landline with them and I must say the service is faultless. We moved home 8 months ago and transferring our services were seamless. “Speedy Broadband”

I joined Origin after I was getting sick of the ever rising prices on BT. So far it's been the best thing I ever did. I have totally unlimited broadband free for a year, and it's way better than BT. My internet speed strait away went from a pathetic 7 Mbps to almost 20 Mbps, and this is only basic broadband. I can watch full HD movies from Netflix and Amazon with no buffering at all. Excellent customer service throughout. Seemless changeover. Good technical info to set my own router up. NEVER had a dropout, and never appear to have throttled speed. Maximum line speed 69mb. 99% of time get 60+mb lowest ever 45mb. Excellent service when fault finding an issue openreach caused at the exchange. + With origin broadband I get almost 17 Mbps witch is what I pay for, and Im very pleased with that compared to talktalk I got 12.5 Mbps they said the loss was from the wires to my house, Customer services are very good but I haven't called with a complaint yet. - As all land line phone providers the first minute costs 29p witch is dearer than all the mobile providers… Read Full Review

Having several homes, I have several ISPs. Some are so-so, some are good. Orign really excel. Why? One home in is the mountains of Scotland. It is on a very, very long line. That means I get lot of issues with the BT line. Origin, firstly offer real human support seven days a week, 24 hours of the day - and I have called them at really odd times. I prefer a service without all the options, this fits the bill if thats what you want. Net result a price anyone can afford. Not sure yet about what will happen after my first 12 month contract. Good aftercare service speaking with English personnel who's talkback needs no further translation. I've been with Origin for about a year now and they have been consistently great. Super fast speeds. I get about 65mb down and 20 up and I'm in an awkward area. Always reliable. The callcentre staff are so friendly, local and knowledgeable. I can use my own router ( which a lot of other providers make difficult) Cheap too. Should of had fibre broadband installed on the 24/3/2015 but when the bt engineer turned up they had no idea that they were installing phone line and fibre.I called origin and explained why my fibre wasn't being done as promised and they said another bt engineer had to come out to install the fibre which they never told me about. As a BT customer trust me it was down to BT.
They are absolute garbage. Booking an appointment with an engineer means nothing with them. When we initally moved to fibre from Talk Talk to BT they were booked to come out on good friday and the engineer never showed up but signed the job off as done. Therefore BT said we were good to go but we hadn't been connected at the exchange. We were without internet for 2 weeks all in all.
BT have many stealth charges to, a truly awful company.

I've been with Origin for a few years now. They were the first people to offer me fast broadband, which is why I went to them, but the service has always been great EXCEPT when the old network closed in August - but looking into it, that was the councils fault if anyone's. I'm not mad at them for it. I had a completely new service installed by them a few months ago and it's been as good as ever. It's fast, and still really well priced. These are just the worst people to deal with. The closed my connection after very short notice when the company providing the infrastructure went into liquidation even though they knew 12 months in advanced. They left me trying to run a business without an internet connection for a month as they were unable to migrate my service without downtime. They don't answer emails, have hours long waiting times on the phone and worse of all stole money for a service they weren't providing… Read Full Review

Don't go anywhere near Origin. They took on a whole load of customers when digital region went bust and they have failed miserably to cope. I am trying to get broadband with a new company but cannot because Origin have failed to get the tags taken off the line. They blame BT of course but this is 6 weeks later. Been waiting 6 weeks now for Origin to re-connect me broadband. Its getting silly, all they do is blame BT. Having been an Origin customer for about a year, the honeymoon phase was great. Quick and easy sign up. Internet service was fast and the value was great. After the DR fiasco, I feel as though Origin is an entirely different ISP (just Google search for the forums regarding origin's DR response). Used to be amazing and had decent reputation but recently have frittered it away. I recommended 6 other people to them from work and friends back in January-March 2013 after I moved to them, but in the past 6 months despite clear information from elsewhere about the closure of Digital Region they stayed almost silent and left it until July 2014 to start migrating people. just moved home so wanted to move my service .origin say I have to terminate my contract £202 £80 if I take another contract pay £50 connection fee and to top it of the £18.50 package I'm currently on is not available .
