I have been with the company over one month and my phone line has not worked even though I have phoned them and ask about it they never correct it or reply- oh and you're kept on hold for ages and ages then cut off. My first bill was not on the date stated and the direct debit took more than the bill said. This is atrocious and should never happen. What a complete shambles from start to finish, After making an initial payment was given set-up / switch over/router delivery dates which came and went with no other correspondence. Decided that I should cancel as Origin Broadband could probably not deliver what they are advertising. What an absolute joke of a company!! Every single month the day the bill email gets sent to me our internet stops working!! Every month I spend around 3 hours on average on hold without getting through! Then they have the cheek to say there may be charges if the engineer comes out and it's my fault! MY FAULT??? I have never experienced such poor service, and am counting down the months to leaving!! I'm grateful I'm only on 12 month contract. Receive no bills, and when money taken from account discover I've been Incorrectly billed. No one bothers to reply to emails, that includes the Managing Director. I had to wait 3 weeks just to receive installation dates, which was a further 2 week wait. I had to chase customer services 3-4 times, at one point I was on hold for 30mins, only to be cut off and then have to wait another 20mins when I called back. Promises of a call back to me with an update never matrialised and I had to call back to again chase/complain. The further 2 week wait was the final straw and I cancelled the whole contract. Impossible to contact by phone or other methods for customer service phone option, but sales will pick up phone immediately. That tells you all ! Promises made to provide password for customer portal now waiting 3 weeks unable to access my account to see if they have taken money they are not entitled to.If you look on their own customer reviews there are pages & pages concerning this aspect & others. I should have gone live on 12th Feb. rang several times, staff polite but haven't got a clue, they leave you on hold to go and ask questions, then give you answers and nothing happens. Finally went live 9th March, three weeks with no broadband. Still cant get into the portal, and they are no help. I`v just had a seventeen pound bill, so have been paying for the phone calls to get online. Same here, i signed up 30th march, chased them numerous times, constantly on hold. Eventually after 3 weeks (19 april) I got an email saying An engineer would come out and I would go live on the 3rd May!!!! I phoned up and cancelled. I would rather pay and extra £1 a month with another provider. I have signed up today with another provider today (20th april) and I go live 5th May.

So if anyone wants to find out the exact date they go live on the day they sign up with someone, please don't choose origin broadband.

Worst customer service I have experienced, I have been even charged for their own free phone landline to inform them after my switch I no broadband. 40 mins to get through, the Customer Portal doesn't work and don't return emails or calls. Had origin nearly one year. Date should have been live never happened took a further 2 days. Engineer problem apparently. Since then several calls for drop outs. couple of engineer line checks all ok so they say. Have Been advised by them on numerous occasions they can check my line inside the home but charge for service. I signed up on 14 February on their website. This means they are liable for distance selling rules that say I have 14 days to cancel. I cancelled on 27 February, day 13. and was transferred to their billing department and promised a refund of my 17.99. No refund by 10th March so called billing again. Was told up to 14 working days for refund but they would expedite mine because I called them. Now 16 working days gone by and no sign of refund. So I signed up for a year for broadband then realised I'd get better deal elsewhere. So promptly cancelled the next day with the assurance I'd get a confirmation email. Complete shambles from start to finish. Not one part of the sign up journey to going live completed without having to phone 'customer service' and be on hold for 50 mins plus to speak to someone. Staff are friendly, but don't seem to be given the tools or knowledge to resolve anything. Speed is terrible, streaming quality very poor and keeps dropping. Internet working at only a third of BTs speed. It's soooooo slow. Customer service is a joke. Never managed to sign into the portal so I haven't been able to see a bill in ages. “Efficient Switch Over. Cheaper and Faster than Sky!!!!!”

When Sky put their prices up again in Feb I decided to look for someone cheaper and seen Origin. For the same telephone and broadband package I would save over £10 a month. I placed the order and Origin cancelled Sky for me and reconnected me when Sky stopped their services within 24hrs. On the day of the switch over I hadn't received a router so I gave them a call and they were so apologetic and I received the router next morning via Parcel Force. Originally took well over 20 days to get me live on ADSL and I've been waiting 22 days to go live on fibre without ever being contacted. I've contacted them multiple times (left waiting on hold on average over 20 minutes each time) and have been told each time that they have no news on an upgrade date. I've been waiting so long that the BT website no longer says that fibre is available as it is over capacity.
