The speed test showed it the slowest of the ISPs I have used, all the others came out about the same. Plus the link is constantly dropping too. Going without internet for days is no fun. Expect to wait at least an hour to speak to customer service, who will not be helpful anyhow. They have lots of hidden charges and ways to make extra cash off you also. Signed up online and paid by credit card & filed DD. They never bothered to contact existing supplier so I was forced to pay for another month with them. There was a problem with Open Reach and an incorrect address, but rather than contact me to sort it out Origin decided to order a new line. It is hopeless trying to get through on the telephone, tortious music and Brian Blessed does not help. Well, I've been with Origin since August and get a very reliable service. It's was not all plain sailing, for the first two weeks I could not connect on tuesdays for some reason. I contacted them (waiting ages on the phone,) but I was told an engineer would contact me to help me with the issue. Two days later he called me up and sorted the problem out. DON'T GO NEAR THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! CHEAP IS NOT ALWAYS BEST! 5 weeks after paying obligatory first instalment I STILL don't have broadband. I will NEVER use Origin again, even if it's free, even if they pay me to use it. It's not a service, it's a liability. It loses connection several times a day, ( in a good reception area ) Customer service is a waste of time. I won't bore you with the countless times my internet has failed completely and it takes hours on the phone to sort. Totally fed up with trying to log in to view my account even changing password after password.? I have NO IDEA what I owe so cancelled my direct debit until they tell me.phoning is like taking root. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. A catalogue of errors from start to finish. Took 12 days after connection to get on line, after a total of 7 hours on the phone, the majority on hold. On one occasion I was put on hold so I could speak to tech team 2. “Worst Customer & Technical service ever seen”

Unfortunately we have trapped in an 18 months contract with Origin broadband+land line. I pay £29.99/Pcm for the maximum speed (76mb) but are experiencing internet disconnection frequently. The only way to ask for technical help is calling their service centre!!! Very poor customer & technical service! They keep you on hold for more than hours to listen your claim! The price of the Broadband service was excellent, however once I was connected to the service it took two days to receive the router. Then I had a problem trying to get the router working. How they have a 2.8 rating is beyond me! I have never experienced such a bad service in my life! “Reasonable service spoiled by poor communication”

No obvious difference in my adsl broadband since switching to them from plusnet. No broadband for one day, but that seemed to be an Openreach problem. Generally helpful technical support once I get through, but it would have been better with a named person to manage the switch. But their email communication is poor - inaccurate or misleading. Please DO NOT sign up to this internet provider. If you do, it takes so long to get set up and once you receive the router, you have to configure it yourself and when it doesn't work or something is not right, no-one is willing to help you on the phone. It can take up to an hour to get through to someone on the Technical Team and once you are through, you only get to speak to a Level 1 Administrator who doesn't know anything technical about Broadband so can't help. It took 18 min's to get through on the phone. Had conversation with a lady, alot of help,she ordered a new router for us (arrived next morning)then she put us through to the tec engineer(no waiting this time). I changed to this company 24 days ago, of which the broadband has worked for 17. Despite constant contact with them they have yet to do anything right. They have issued me with a bill for two months payments thirty three days before it is due.
