Broadband and phone line went down on Christmas day. Phoned the Asian call centre. After twenty minutes of negotiating the awful B.T voice recognition directory service. Call centre staff accidentally hung up on me. No call back despite them having my number. Thirty minutes later eventually through to BB team. Engineer booked for 8 days later not the three days they say they will get to you. Due to weather and Xmas period gave them the benefit of the doubt. A neighbour of mine then happened to mention they had the same problem and were able to get an engineer out in three days, even though they reported they're problem three days after me! So after waiting for another 30 minutes on the phone, the call centre couldn't answer why this had happened, and wouldn't allow that engineer to also fix my problem!
Eventually the engineer came and fixed phone line. He couldn't fix the internet issue so he had to phone a BB specialist who was in the area. They together went to the BB cabinet and apparently fixed the problem although the Hub still wasn't working. They both then returned to my house and said it should be fixed all i needed to do was phone the call centre again and get them to reset the bb settings. After forty minutes i got through to somebody i could barely understand who was completely incompetent and sounded as if she was reading from a sheet, badly. She kept me hanging on, on three occasions with little explanation as to why. After getting nowhere in about ten minutes i started getting annoyed and asked to speak to a manager. I explained what the BB engineer had said to me and he then started arguing that that couldn't have happened. By now i was irate and completely shocked when HE started shouting at me! I took his name and explained i would be complaining about him. After much more arguing i was still getting nowhere and agreed for another engineer to come out a further six days later.
The new engineer came out and fix the issue within five minutes at the cabinet and then took another twenty minutes just to complete the diagnostics to ensure it was all functioning correctly. Overall the engineers good, it's the call centre which is simply awful. If they don't move it by the end of my contract i will go elsewhere.
