****STRAT RESCUE ARE THE WORST RECOVERY COMPANY IN THE WORLD*****
I have on two separate occasions in the past 2 month’s needs roadside assistance and they have not been able to help me because “I am not covered”
There are loads and loads of loop holes this company uses.
One occasion I had a punctured tyre, I called them out and they said because I don’t have a spare wheel or an Emergency tyre repair kit I am not covered for the recovery to my house! They wouldn’t even come out!
Second occasion the following month my central locking wouldn’t work (suspected battery drained) and the key barrel of car was also not working so I couldn’t get into my car. They said because I have faulty lock I am not covered to bring out a specialist vehicle to recover my car. What the hell!
I have paid £64 a year for a service which I seem to never to covered for! They have a lot of small prints.
On both occasions I had to use a friend’s AA service that have on both occasions helped and sorted me out! The AA are expensive but well worth it! This is a armature company with no customer morals! They will not give a S##T if your stranded! If you’re not covered they won’t help unless they want to charge you £250 a pop!
Please please PLEASE do not give this company any more money!
They are rubbish and will not help you in an emergency! AVIOD for peace of mind! Go with AA or RAC – The professionals!

Just been invited to renew--No call out to date.
This makes interesting reading.
The Negatives profound and the Positives, reaching "Fantastic",
In essence, only being what one would expect as a minimum service.
I would be considerably more comfortable, were Start Rescue to comment/explain on negative reviews.
Which rather suggests, this review platform is not there own, apparently not read by them.
Thereby endorsing client dissatisfaction.
In the absence of a response to this.
Perhaps going upmarket is more than simply an option.

You're supposed to carry a spare wheel, duh! I've used StartRescue for over a year now and they've been pretty compliant and decent with me - so long as you actually READ the terms & conditions before buying the policy...which you clearly failed to do - sucks for you!
Also, you can purchase an Emergency Tyre Repair kit for a simple £10-£20 from a local petrol station, supermarket or garage. In fact, you could of done it the same day and said "I've just purchased an Emergency Spare Tyre Kit" - The tyre kit will undoubtedly fail but at least it would cover you! It's an exclusion under MOST policies if you don't carry some VITAL equipment. You can check for yourself
It's not small print either. It's all extremely clear and easy to understand. I just looked at it - don't lie and put people off purchasing a cheaper alternative to the commercial AA/RAC who rip you off completely.
I noticed that StartRescue use local recovery agents which isn't a bad thing but obviously they have some sort of contract with them so if you cancel the assistance, I guarantee they still need to pay that agent. If you cancel, it costs them money....obviously!
Overall, you're angry and annoyed because you failed to actually read about the policy before purchasing it. I thought I'd defend StartRescue because I've had a policy with them for over a year.
