My car broke down with a flat battery I called at 1pm I then had to wait 2:30 hours for first recovery. The recovery driver said it was my alternater and I should use his friend a car mechanic, I didn't want to use his friend I want to use my garage, after a while discussing the garage the recovery driver said I have charged you battery to 80% that will get you to you garage in Crayford I was broken down in Brixton london.
I drove for three miles the car broke down right in the middle of rush hour traffic in peckham queens road. Luckily another driver stopped to help who gave me a jump to move the car to a side road. I drove a possible 200 yards car stopped again. I called Greenflag again at five pm. After numerous calls with lies about recovery location and times one showed up at 9:40pm I had broken down again at five so 4:40 hours I waited. It was freezing cold my mobile was dead and I had to walk quarter mile to phone box from the car and back.
I have made a complaint when I was informed that someone would call me back at 9am following morning no such call I had to ring them so late again. So much for an hours wait for help???? Always late.
I have informed the complaints people of what has happened and how the first driver allowed me to drive away in a unfit road worthy car putting my life and others in danger as when he realised I didn't want to use his friend he lost interest and said my car was ok to drive.
I am awaiting a call today from Greenflag as they passed it on to their higher complaint team and needed 48 hours to reply.
I will be seeking legal advice and making a civil action claim against them.
I will never every use Greenflag again.
I will be contacting watchdog and other forums so people are aware of the awful company they are.
