I have been a member of GEM now for some 40-odd years, having previously been disappointed by my former choice on a couple of occasions with extreme delays caused by ‘patrolman overload’. I can honestly say that in all of those 40+ years I have never had cause to be disappointed with the service offered and operated by GEM.
GEM do not rely on patrolmen who can often become overloaded, but on an abundance of independent local operators for required services.
From the courtesy, empathy, friendliness, and efficiency of the staff operating the call centre, through the efficiency and skill of the breakdown operators they employ, to the speed with which reimbursement is received (now handled by BACS payments direct into member’s account), they are, in the words of Tina Turner’s timeless hit “SIMPLY THE BEST”.
