I needed to arrange breakdown cover having recently changed my bank account through which I had received it until now. I was amazed at the quality of the cover you offered and by the price. I therefore set out to secure it on line. For some reason the web sire would not let me proceed to the payment page. The site kept sending me an error message asking for information which I had already supplied earlier in the process. I got fed up with trying to resolve this situation so I phoned your customer service department in order to finish the transaction with them as I still wanted the cover. I explained what had happened to your adviser and he told me that I would have to log on again and repeat the process. I told him that I wasn't prepared to do this as I has spent enough of my time. It wasn't my fault that the site was playing up. He completed my order but refused to give me the on line discount. Also I noticed that my registration number had not been recorded correctly when I received my policy summary. I had to phone again to query this and was told that the details had been corrected but that there was o need for a new set of documents to be sent to me. Again I asked about the lack of on line discount and was told that the credit card fee had been waived as a goodwill gesture which I accepted. The product is excellent but the service I received was slaphappy. Web sites often don't work. It may not be the fault of the customer.
