On Tuesday 17/09/2013 our combi boiler stopped working and could not be restarted(we had neither hot water nor heating):I phoned Worcester but said they could not send engineer until Friday (3 days later). If a spare had been required (as indeed was the case) the repair would have gone to the following week. We think this is an unacceptable delay for failing boilers: we would expect attendance on the nest working day especially when you are a paid up member of the service & breakdown contact. In the end we phoned an independent local firm (W T Steam in Durham) and their engineer attended the following day on Wednesday then returned on Thursday with the required spare part and competed the repair. As T W Steam assured us they would normally attend the following day (even during a week-end if required) we have now decided to cancel our Worcester Bosch service contract which puts us at risk of prolonged delays without hot water/heating.
