I bought this boiler which is top of the range, and expensive compared to other makes. Just out of guarantee the pcp packed up - expensive to replace. After further investigation this is a common fault - no recall and no point replacing as it is quite probable it will go again. I ripped it out and replaced with a BAXI

That sounds like you must have got a Friday one! As I have been fitting these boilers for the past 6 years and think I have only ever had a couple of small non serious issues. Plus if you have an approved installer as I am you then have the benefit of 5 year parts and labour warranty. Lee Finley/ Smile plumbing Peterborough
