On my original order for a boiler I stated I wanted the best for a larger house, there was no budget attached as the heating refurbishment was over £10K. A Keston C55 boiler was installed. in 2007. During the warranty period the exchanger leaked and the rubber exaust was replaced with a metal one and I think we had 3 breakdowns. 09/13 A service and repair carried out at about £900. 03/15 Service £186 less £50 as booked with a repair of £300 total £436. In the last 7 years I think we have spent about £2K on repairs. I asked Homeserve about a service agreement and they said not a chance but I will try british gas. A make of boiler with a good warranty and one that is supported by the companies that do contracts for would be a good thought.
