I have 6 of the above boilers in a block of flats.The problem is customer service. My local heating engineer was unable to identify the problem and spoke with the Ideal engineers 7 or 8 times on 3 seperate visits in an attempt to resolve the problem. They gave him instructions to check various things and then advise him to to change 3 or 4 parts none of which solved the problem. Ideal are now sending out their own engineer at a cost of £245 although they promised to refund half that fee if they are unable to fix it. I need to pay my engineer £350 for his time and the parts. Ideal argue they only gave my engineer advice and it was his decision to change the parts. Don't think I will be buying any Ideal boilers in the future from a company who don't take responaibility for their product and who charge huge amounts of money for a call out.
