“No Problems.”

Had this boiler installed free as part of government scheme, 3 years on and no problems at all , although it is quite difficult to find a suitable service engineer, boiler apparently manufactured by Sime and doesn't seem to be that well known… Read Full Review

Warranty conditions same for all makes. Why did you not stick to the conditions? Same with car warranties.

If you don't have your boiler serviced yearly it will void any warranty on any boiler whether it's a top of the range or a cheap boiler also you have to have your gas pipe work tested for any leaks then you get issued a gas safety certificate which will give you peace of mind that you and your family are safe ... a gas safe engineer

“2 years and no problem ”

Written on: 11/02/2016 by MonicaHopper (1 review written)

I had this installed through b&q government scheme and it's been fantastic only things I've needed to do was replace batteries in the thermostat which actually took me few days to work out and couple times turn a valve to increase pressure. Hassle free and great. It looks good and having the combi boiler rather than the old tanks is a dream would defo recommend this boiler I have 3.5 bed end terraced house and it is genuinely cold house due to the build and within 5 min the whole place is… Read Full Review

“Repeated stops working”

Written on: 01/02/2016 by Andrewthomason (1 review written)

Bought this boiler approx 16 months ago, attracted by the 10 year warranty. The B & Q sales rep seemed OK, but had a quite a few delays in the installation with the wrong size boiler arriving and then left without heat or hot water for about 5 days. Main issue is that the boiler has a recurring fault where it stops working and requires a 'reset'. When I spoke to the people who deal with the warranty, they said it was probably due to b & q not specifying a larger gas supply pipe for the… Read Full Review

Thanks - I went back to them and explained that it had been signed off by the fitters and I also had another plumber check the pressure, which was ok. Once I got to speak to the correct person, an engineer came out quickly and found a fault with the igniter which was producing a spark where a spark should not be! Replaced this and a few weeks in, it seems to be working well. Solved the problem of the Halo control unit by siting it right next to the boiler - it does not seem to like to be more than 15 feet away from the control unit. Fingers crossed....

“Don't buy it”

Written on: 14/12/2015 by Margaretbalmer (1 review written)

I purchased this boiler and had it fitted but the flue didn't fit. I waited 5 weeks to get the correct flue as they kept sending the wrong one. Eventually got the correct flue had it fitted but turn on the boiler only for it to come up with numerous faults. Now awaiting an engineer to come out . All this time we have had no heating through November and December. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this boiler to anyone… Read Full Review

“cheap crap!!”

Written on: 07/10/2014 by yetanotherunhappycustomer000 (1 review written)

14 month old boiler. Engineer called out twice to fix the same fault within the space of 10 months. No hot water or heating. Engineer from another company advised the motor AND circuit board needing replaced at a cost of £300+. Unfortunately the boiler was not serviced by the previous owner of property within a year of being installed so the 10 year warranty is now null and void. Loads of cheap components in the boiler so no doubt the engineer will be called out to replace parts again soon… Read Full Review

“a world apart from my old heater”

Written on: 23/04/2014 by 439Merritt (1 review written)

The boiler works well, I can't fault the warrant, I had their out of hours contractor come out at 9 at night to find my old (15 year old) heating dial on the wall had packed in, they got it going straight away. I can't fault them. If the parts inside are as good as they say, I don't see their being a problem. Can't say I've had the problems described below, again B&Q put on the wall for me, it took a bit too long to get my install date booked - it wasn't the Mark Group who installed it… Read Full Review

Gas supply should be 28mm,pipework to radiators for energy efficiency 10-15mm.If you are using an old ststem make sure it is cleaned out befre you have a new boiler installed.

“MARK GROUP AND IQE35”

Written on: 27/02/2014 by BRISTOLMO (1 review written)

The boiler (IQE35) was installed by Mark Group within one and a half days. There tradesmen were efficient (like the boiler) and courteous. I needed to upgrade my electrics before installation and Mark Group led me through it in a very friendly manner. I have saved money and reduced my greenhouse gas emissions… Read Full Review

“Easy to use, cheap to run”

Written on: 27/09/2013

I had the boiler installed in my house by B&Q after speaking to a sales assistant in a B&Q store. I chose the boiler as their quote was £300 cheaper than British Gas, but offered me 10 year cover on the boiler for free. So far so good, the boiler is quiet and has a green light to tell me everything is OK, I'm told it turns red if I need to do anything. The main thing is my gas bills are about £40 cheaper a month now. Overall I would recommend the boiler over my old Worcester Bosch for being… Read Full Review
