We've had our Heat Line combi boiler for over 7 years now and it is still running like clockwork even though we was told by one engineer that they were 'low end budget boilers'. It doesn't take long to heat the water or run the radiators and isn't expensive to run. One cold winter the boiler was on timer for over 3 months and never let us down once! It does what it is designed to do and does it well. Would definitely recommend them.

I got the Heatline Bolier installed about 2 years back after an engineer recommended it to me. The boiler was installed and serviced every year. Since the installation date, every 2 - 4 weeks the time switch will automatically move from the ON position to the Timer position. I tried calling heatline a few times but as the waiting time was too long, i never made it through to report the issue until last week. I reported the issue to the agent on the phone, he read a statement that if the issue is not related to the boiler they will charge me. I asked the agent that the timer is part of the boiler, so will i be charged? He instantly said No as it is part of the boiler so it is covered as long as the boiler is covered. An engineer came down and first thing he started inspecting the boiler and checking the flue. 2 minutes later he said he will not touch the boiler as there is a different make of flue installed to it, and the boiler is as High Risk ? I asked how should the flue be installed to be properly installed, and he replied the boiler is at high risk so he need to turn it off. I asked the same question again and this time he gave a totally unrelated reply. I said this is not my question, and showing a sarcastic and stupid smile he said do i have your permission to turn off the boiler ? His behaviour reminded me the corrupted people who wants you to give them money to go ahead with your work. It was very clear to me he doesn't know how the flue should be installed, they just make up issues so that we buy their product. He still never said how to install it, the closer answer i got from him was to check in the manual how it should be installed. I called my gas engineer and he confirmed me the same thing, that they bring up all kind of issue just to force us buying their product. So for a boiler that is not even 2 years old, an issue that came up since day one, brainless engineers, I think this boiler, and their customer services, are a full disaster. The reason why the boiler is sold on the cheap, is to be able to dig money out of customers after the installation.

These are made from the leftover parts bin from Vaillant/Gloworm and whilst on the whole they work ok, Heatline won't give any technical support for this and the warranty is laughable. Then there the cost of spares. When you see the cost of the spares you will realise why they sell them so cheaply. To save money in the long term buy a Worcester Bosch and stay well clear of the Vaillant group.

Bought an house to renovate , don't pay too much for a named boiler . This does the job for half the price and after 18 months still on top form . Good reliable boiler for the money ..

Identical to the previous Glowworm Ultracom. Vaillant quality for half the price. The reason for the low price compared to Vaillant / Glowworm models is that the warranty period is less, customer service is not as good (premium rate tech support number) and spares are expensive. Having spoken to a Heatline / Vaillant engineer, he said he would have one in his own house. Enough said.

To call Heatline now costs the same as calling Vaillant or Glowworm. Thje premium rate has been axed.

Boiler not worked on radiator circuit since day one - impossible to get through to customer services avoid if I was you.

I've had this about 1 year now and it has performed faultlessly.

As Landlord And installer the boiler internally is spacious why does it matter then at some time will require servicing or repairing . Its well built and a good design , this boiler is part of Vaillant group but run separately , you cant expect same build quality as the Vaillant as its twice the price , So here is option 2 years for £500 or less or £900 for 5 year with Vaillant . If your in budget price its actually the best out of most of them and high highly recommend ,also as a engineer its pretty reasonable to work on when it goes pear shaped . Take my advice what ever you decide buy a Magnaclean pro 2 It will make your boiler last 15 to 20 years and inhibitor yearly put in the magnaclean . It saves your boiler repairs and approx 6% energy saving .

glow-worm and vaillant and the parts are cheaper but the same you are only paying for a name

I was putting in a new central heating system in a house but I have a budget. At first I was lost in the world of boilers but after having read the reviews on this Heatline Caprizplus, I decided to install one last year. I was not disappointed as it was a quiet boiler and it looks nice too. It froze after 4 months of use but their engineers came quickly and reset it which was 10 minutes job. Worth every penny and less than half the price of the expensive boilers.

I had one of these installed in a managed property after reading all the positive reviews and am pleased to say that it is indeed a very good boiler costing just over £500. It is very quiet when running and efficient too. Although it cut out after a few months, the company was quick to sent one of their engineers to reset the bolier within a week and it is now nearly a year old without any problems. Definitely a great budget boiler.

As a landlord of multiple properties i wanted a reliable cost effective and simple to use boiler. The Heatline ticks all the boxes. Our engineer tells us "these boilers are basically the previous model Vaillant Pro" We have approximately 30 properties with these boilers installed and they have been faultless. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Bought one of these based on advise from plumber. Got it fitted and never worked. Have already gone 2 days with no hot water or heating, now engineer will not come out until tomorrow (today is friday). This was after pleading them to push the job through as their next available date was Tuesday!!!!! Have children in the house who have already gone without hot water and heat and they wanted that to go to 5 days. Disgusting service to say the least. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

A bit misleading as you cant review a boiler that hasn't worked! I think this should be aimed at your installing company.

The issue has since been sorted, and it was established that it wasn't the installers fault, it was a fault with the boiler. I have since learnt i was not the only one. Also the review is based on the companies customer service which is poor to say the least.
Unless you had gone through what i experienced with regards to the customer service from Heatline, the attitude of its engineers and the fact i ended up going a week with no heating or hot water with child in the house...... then what you think should be kept for your own issues.

I cant believe how good our new boiler has turned out. Never let us down and is very quiet compared to our old one. The plumber who installed it was also impressed by the high quality components.

Had Ferroli Optimax boiler before this and it was garbage. Had to go for the Heatline due to cost so didn't really expect much. Up to now really good. Im glad now that I didn't buy a more expensive boiler because i dont see how it could be better.

After reading the good reviews I decided to take the plunge and Im very happy indeed. I was a little sceptical at first because of the boilers price. The boiler is now 2 years old and has been excellent. Very quite and easy to operate. The installer was surprised at the high quality and said that it was Vaillant parts inside. Highly recommended

We are Gas Safe installers and have fitted around 60 of these boilers. They have been completely reliable and the customers love them. Basically the internals are all Vaillant. They come complete with the Vaillant heat engine (gas valve, fan and heat exchanger) and have a 'air snorkel' fitted to reduce air intake noise. Fitted is the latest 2014 regs compliant Grunfos 15/50 modulating pump to reduce noise and increase efficiency. Well built, easy to use, operate and install. Don't be put off by the budget price. You wont be disappointed.

My local Plumb merchant whom i know the owner recommended this boiler saying that most of the components was the same as in the more expensive boilers, and excatley the same as a boiler which was £100 dearer! ive had it fitted and it performs better than my previous Baxi boiler hands down, (though it was 10 year old), i wasnt keen on buying a "cheap" boiler but he's the expert and he highly recommended the Heatline capriz plus 28. Apparently this boiler is now owned by Vialent! Great Buy as far as i'm concerned!

I am a Gas Safe regestered engineer.I have been fitting, servicing and repairing more expensive boilers for years. I fitted one of these boilers for a customer who was on a budget, and liked it so much I fitted one in my own house. Opening the case you are essentially looking at a Gloworm/Vaillant boiler. The main components that usually need replacing(PRV, PHE, Diverter valve etc) on any combi are in an easily accessable and not crammed in. Its straight foward to install, reliable and quiet. Pressure vessel is side mounted for easy recharging. Make sure its installed on a clean system with a magnaclean filter, and a correctly sized gas supply. As with most modulating boilers,it can take a bit longer to heat a microbore system (mine is 8MM drops),but gets there. Hot water performance is exactly the same as any same size boiler on the market. it even has an outdoor sensor option on the pcb for greater modulation. All in all, it is just as good as any make in practice, just not as fancy in terms of controls and settings. Overall, a great value boiler that I am very happy with. The other more expensive manufacturers should take note. Highly recommended.

I've bought this boiler for a property investment refit. The boiler has now been fitted along with the bathroom with mixer shower. I have tested it and it seems to be very good. with a winter and summer mode, you can also control how hot it heats the rads and tap water along with an economy mode. I have invested in the extended warranty as i may rent the property but on our next house we will definitely be back to buy another one.

I'm a gas engineer and I totally disagree with you. Those are very well built boilers with much cheaper spare prices compared to Worcester Bosch boiler. Heatline are good value for money and very reliable. I saying that because I have fitted over 200 of them in the last 5 years. They are not immune from failure as all other boiler manufacturers, but one thing for sure thay are the best value for money and outstanding reliability.
