“It was fantastic.”

We went to the Nautica Bay Beach club in Porto Heli and stayed there for two weeks at the end of August 2012 on a bed and breakfast basis. Booking was made really easy, we couldn't get the dates we first asked for but Chris was very helpful in finding another slot that meet our needs. The organisation was excellent and we even received an impressively detailed itinerary with all the useful info we needed in a travel pack. “A great time had by all”

We've had 2 Seafarer family holidays now and I would recommend them most highly and definitely go again. We tend to go to the beach clubs as we're not that serious as sailors but the kids like to do a bit in dinghys and on windsurfers while we sit on the beach and read. The beach club locations have been good and the accommodation excellent. “SEAFARER FLOTILLA HOLIDAY - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ”

We chose Seafarer again this summer, this time in the Ionian and as usual they came up trumps. From the office staff to the flotilla crew we had excellent service all round. The crew Theo and Wendy were one of the best we have had, Theo clearly knew hist stuff ensuring we were well briefed and gave us some great tips for lunch time swim stops. “Avoid Seafarer Sailing Holidays”

Avoid using Seafarer Sailing Holidays completely. We have sailed with them in the past, but have since experienced a flotilla that made us feel unsafe. On our recent flotilla, many of the boats had issues such as a fuel contamination issue, fouling of the water intake, flooded engine bays, loss of steering, and a propeller issue probably connected with the prop having been fouled. I have been in correspondence with this gentleman about his complaint and whilst we always welcome fair and balanced feedback, we feel that this is a vindictive posting on the basis that we did not agree with his exaggerated demands for a refund.. A fair and honest settlement was proposed in recognition of minor technical problems on a new yacht, partly caused by user error !
Honest reviews can be a great tool for the sailing and travelling public, but vindictive postings of this nature certainly devalue the entire concept .
We 100% refute this gentleman's claims as to our approach to safety and maintenance and consider his threat of posting damaging reviews contained within his complaint letter, little better than blackmail.
Seafarer is an independent family run business and we are justifiably proud of our reputation for personal service, quality and value. Whilst we are the first to admit that we don't get it 100% right all of the time, our client satisfaction levels and repeat booking ratios are amongst the highest in the industry. Our many regular clients know some our long serving flotilla crew members as friends and I am sure some of them will voice their own opinions in this review centre in support of this response .

We have been asked to provide our own opinion and are happy to do so without hesitation.
Our experience of Seafarer has always been excellent and we have booked several times on their flotillas. The office staff are always friendly and helpful, prices are competitive and we generally find the yachts very well equipped and maintained with any minor niggles dealt with swiftly. Whilst we certainly have our favourites (thanks Ipek and Silar for always looking after us !) we find their generally more mature crews to offer a great balance of support and information, good fun and a degree of freedom to do as we please.
Thank you Seafarer...we shall certainly be back next year!

Please note 'Chrisseafarer' is the Managing Director of Seafarer and we have not asked for a refund, as he has indicated. I was a member of the crew on this flotilla and his comments are untrue as we have simply stated our experience. I can attest that the Seafarer Sailing company failed to provide us and other flotilla families with the feeling of a safe holiday where they did not respond to emergency calls on radio or mobile. They simply did not call back. There was a large amount of problems with half the boats on the trip including leaks and engine loss. The hostess and staff quit during our flotilla where we embarked with no one from the company present. Unfortunately, we were not the only flotilla group who had a bad experience.

In response to comments by Ams001122’ and as the skipper on this particular flotilla, I feel compelled to add that I find these comments unfair, and not an accurate reflection of what happened during the week in question. My guests had full support from the crew at all times during what was a busy week, and at no time was anybody’s safety compromised in any shape or form. I always respond to any radio messages heard or received and always answer phone calls, or return missed calls as soon as possible. There were some technical issues during that week, mostly either client induced or random events that could happen to any yacht and to suggest that we should be avoided as a company because of this I consider totally unreasonable. At no point during this charter did the complainants indicate to any of the crew that they were not getting the level of service expected, or that they felt that their safety had been compromised. We as crew have enjoyed excellent client feedback throughout the season to date, and will continue to work hard to ensure that this remains the case.
