We have been kennelling our dogs here for 20 plus years and recommend these kennels to friends and family with no complaints. We have again picked up our dog after two weeks holiday and whilst he was extremely tired as usual from the fact he is unsettled by the different surroundings, he was fine. We had a health issue with our dog a couple of years ago ( no fault of the kennel ) they contacted A family member raising there concerns but was immediately assured it was a ongoing issue and not to worry, Please be assured we spent years looking for a suitable kennels for our pets and we remain confident this is the best place for them and will continue to recommend these kennels. We have used these kennels a number of times over the years and our 12 year old Shi Tsu has always enjoyed his stays . We needed to board him for a long stay of seven months and the two friendly ladies working there assured us he woud be well cared for and all his vet visits / vaccinations / medication would be looked after . While we were away we had regular email updates of his progress and photos. One of the ladies took him home at night because it was a long time and over the winter in kennels and he does like home comforts . He had plenty of walks and came back to us fit and healthy . We had trouble finding someone who would board him for such a long time and we are very grateful for the care and attention he was given while we were away .

We have used these kennels for several years now. Our dog jumps out of the car and runs into the kennels so we're confident he's happy. Just collected him from his first visit of the year, three more booked. The staff are friendly and know their clients.

Would never leave my dog there, took him in and returned to collect him the same day. The old ladies seemed cold and heartless. Disgusting

Once again, Patch was happy to be left from the minute he jumped out of the car (and we would know if he wasn't happy to go into the kennels believe me!) We use Great Oaks several times a year, from a weekend away to a fortnight's holiday and have no hesitation to leave him there. It's great peace of mind.

I am so happy to leave my dog here. I know she will be well looked after. I have used this kennels for 6 years and have never had any problems. I think they do a fantastic job at looking after all the animals and don't think they have a bad bone in there body. I would recommend this kennels to all my family and friends and to anyone who reads these reviews. You will be so pleased with what these people do.

When I collected Candy she was pleased to see me but had obviously formed a bond with Gill. I have no problem with leaving her again at Great Oaks I have no problem in recommending them to my friends to take care of their pets .They really care and take time to do all they can to make their clients happy and comfortable.

Great Oaks Kennels in Romford is fab! We take Pip to the kennel every Easter, Summer and October whilst we visit Palma and enjoy our villa. We love the price and Pip loves in indoor kennels Thank you Sally & Edward

I left my dog for 4days while I went away on business. She came back very hungry as if she had not been fed. She also had two cuts on the top of her head. This is absolutely appalling, I trust people to look after my dog and treat her with respect and she comes back like this? I wouldn't advise anyone to take their pets to this place at all. Not worth it, I am going to shut down this place. Such should never happen to your pet. Don't be fooled by kindess of these people, and the soft tones. Clearly they are the opposite when looking after your pet.

Recommended by our dog trainer for our very bouncy GSD. She is happy to go there and I have had no issues with their care of her. They were happy to look after her ears and give her the prescribed treatment a couple of years ago with no extra charge. Also no problems when we turned up one time when she was on heat. They have also looked after our Persian cat with due diligence to her eyes and grooming.

Was not happy with dog coming home being seriously Hungry as if not eaten for days and ill with kennel cough which has cost me more money for anti biotics on top of paying for the kennel. Gave them one star as I got my dog back. I advise other customers to think hardly before sending their dog there.

We have been using these kennels for the past 14 years. Leslie & Gill are very accomadating people. We were 1st recommened to them by out local vets, as we were due to go on holiday & our English Bullmatiff had just had emergency opp (cruciate ligamemt)& needed complete rest & 24hr care. After meeting Leslie & Gill we were very happy to leave our Samson with them. We returned to find a very well & happy dog. Over the years they have gone out of their way to help out were every possible,even though places are often scarce! The Kennels are not just their living but their passion! Our Samson, Precious & now Khan love them xxxxx

We have always used these kennels for both our elderly dog, and now two new puppies. The staff are friendly and care for each dog as if they were their own.

If Great Oaks Kennels were unablt to look after our beloved pets, we would not consider using any others, and we have always picked up very happy and contented dogs from them, which is definately due to the lovely care of the staff.

Mother in Law recommended as she used it for her dog whenever she went away for around 10 years. We sent our 3 staffs there and they were well looked after. The owner did actually tell us they needed to diet a bit and they came back looking fit - as if they had gone to a health club. Would recommend.
