We had 3 deliveries with 4 shutters in total with only the last one being damaged - though all had shown signs of mis-handling - courier needs sorting out. They did air freight the replacement T-posts, which made the delay acceptable. These shutters represent value for money on the basis that you are the installer. The overall effect is excellent, the fit is exactly to my measurements, had some damaged slats on delivery, these have been replaced promtly with installation guide and parts to enable new slats to slip in without taking frame appart. The customer service people helped enormously with advice on measuring as we have very old Victorian frames. They arrived when promised and the instructions were easy to follow even for us novices. My only slightly negative comment is that they did take a few weeks longer to be delivered than I was initially told, but I was kept informed and given up to date information. After a couple of shipping delays due to Chinese New Year celebrations and ship breakdown my shutters arrived. Once they arived in this country they were delivered very promptly. They look great fitted except for the slight damages. California Shutter & Blind Company were easy to contact but could only initially offer a further 8 week wait for replacement. Despite the computer programme telling us we could order the shutter we wanted and letting us pay for it, we were subsequently rung a few days later to say this was not possible and an alternative format of shutter would have to be done. The overall product is ok but there is a 4-5mm gap in the middle where the shutters should overlap. It is noticeable compared to other made-to-measure shutters I have installed alongside. Better to pay a bit more and get something that keeps the light out and looks good. (read more)

Bought Kelly Hoppen shutters in Linen. Really good instructions on measuring, good tool to help you configure what you want. They call you back after ordering to check you measured and ordered correctly. Took about 9 weeks to arrive and 15 mins to install with the online video to help. Perfect fit. This is in stark contrast to a shutter I bought from Sanderson for 1,000 pounds and took the fitter 6 hours to install and the result was a complete mess. (read more)
