Customer Service atrocious. Quality of blinds terrible. Blind did not fit window . Big gaps at side . 8 inches away from the glass. Wanted to pay a call-out charge and cutting costs for their bad workmanship! Do not use this dreadful company

Bought blinds in Sep and fitted start of Oct. Fitter never gave a chance to check them over before asking for the remaining balance. On checking they were very badly made so we complained and they were refitted. The refitted ones are worse than the originals with ill fitting pelmets, dents to the blinds, rough cuts to where the pulls go through the blinds and rough cuts at the edges of the blinds as per the attached photos. Also on the original fit the fitter never fitted a safety catch on blinds that were beside our bath, definitely a safety issue with young children around. I have contacted them to request these be removed and a full refund as they are not what we agreed tand are not as described, fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality. The only positive I have is that the second fitter was very nice about it all! ** Edit ** We are now having them taken away and refunded however the 'customer service' woman who called told us they "were inspected at the factory" and "the factory manager said they were an acceptable commercial standard" (she was also quite forceful given she should have been apologising and trying to fix it - there was no apology) so our opinion is that Shades are willingly happy to sell sub-standard products because it's what they can get away with rather than selling a quality prooduct. I only wish I could upload photos to show how bad the blinds are. I cannot stress enough how I would recommend that you save your time and either buy ones and fit yourself or find a company that will supply well made products

I had salesman out to measure windows and get a quote. He was very friendly and really nice. Decided to go ahead with the purchase of venetion blinds. Was given a date and time frame (9-3) to have fitted and arranged time off work. On day he arrived. Fitter was pleasant! Was a bay window and 1 of the blinds was too big so I was left with 2 blinds up and informed the other one would need to go back to factory to be trimmed as measurements weren't accurate! Not the biggest issue as I know these things can happen! It was the follow up that really disappointed me. Contacted customer service following morning as had no follow up call to when other blind was being fitted. Customer service was not helpful at all. Couldn't come back out that day as they didnt do my area until a certain day even though it was no fault of ours and the factory is 5 min from me. Result is am left on a main bus route with a bus stop out side my house with no privacy for a further 2 days Cant get a refund as blinds are made.to measure(which is a joke cos they dont fit) Def wouldn't recommend them or use them.again.

Paid for my blinds got an appointment to have them fitted and they told me to strip windows so I done it and took time of work only to be told they wont be coming today.wont be back for another 2 days.called to complain and the lady I spoke to was cheeky and disrespectful horrible company

Metal blinds rust when fitted in bathrooms so this means guarantee isn’t valid . Fail to tell you of that when fitting them and taking your money. Poor customer service and disappointing how loyal customers are treated

Don't expect blinds to be fitted on scheduled time. Constant cancellations due to fitters being off sick and manufacturing delays have contributed to me waiting a month after submitting payment without the job being finished. Look elsewhere.

I worked for this company for a year never seen so many fitters leave overall the man management is shocking and after sales is even worse the fabrics are seconds I can't believe the reviews are still shocking after all these years when I see a shades van makes me shudder

2 Roller blinds ordered, measurements taken perfectly square! Rollers fitted, both sloping to one side, one side touching the windowsill, the other still in the air. One blind has a dirty line right across it, half the eyelets are damaged and while one side of the blind is 1.5cm away from the wall at the top it's 3cm by the time it gets to the bottom. They keep pushing the point my window runs off however failed to mention that at the time of order and took square measurements?? Unhelpful isn't the word, wanted to give me 10% off insult!! I agreed to 20% as long as they resolved the issues, 3 Rep visits and 3 fitter visits only to find out they can't resolve it, they offered to pack the blinds giving me the impression that would sort it, but when the fitter came out he said it would mean I would be left with a bigger gap at one side at the top instead of the bottom so swapping the sloping for the top instead of the bottom....and apparently I agreed to that...such a lie. They won't remove blinds and refund my deposit and still want the balance paid..is this company for real... pay a little extra a go elsewhere!

This has to be the worst customer service I have ever received from a company , I have been 3 weeks for someone to come out and fix my blinds giving 3 appointments with no one turning up no call nothing , constantly chasing them , called this morning was told would get a call back I then call back at 3.50 to be told would get. Call back said I would wait on the phone waiting 10 mins then was told place was closing now so Would need to be tomorrow now for someone to speak to , dong know how still in business

I was told I got the fourth blind free. Guy came to measure quoted me a price with no discount. Guy out blinds up Monday. Fell down two days later. Another came off the wall. Fitter came back and drilled new holes. They fell down again. Fitter never turned up when I had booked in twice. Sitting waiting on them twice like an idiot. I have asked for a full refund as he never showed up again last night. Sick of this. Do not use

Contacted Shades after seeing their advert. Someone came out. Advised blinds I wanted were not in sale but price quoted was ok Blind fitter seemed nice. Advised that the three bedroom blinds were too long and sticking. He phoned the manager in my presence who told him to remove the brackets. They were still too long. He phoned again in my presence. He was told that if he took the blinds back they would be shortened by 5 mans returned the next day. I agreed to that. When 2pm came the next day I phoned to see when the blinds were coming. A very cheeky " customer service" person told me they would not be delivered before Monday.shecould not give me any managers number, a fitters number , or let me speak to anyone in charge. I was promised a manager would phone. I'm still waiting! Very poor service!!!!! I wish I had read the many bad reviews before I ordered them!

Got a text advising they were doing 3 for £59 plus a 4th free. Phoned to book an appointment and was told the Berlin range was included in this. A measurer came out the next day. After measuring the price I was quoted was 6-7 times the amount of the text message.. Measurer advised the Berlin range wasn't in the offer. in any case the blinds are simply not worth what they're quoting. Check the material yourself. Called customer services but not helpful at all. I would not use this company. Clearly they are sending marketing material to attract customers but have no intention of fulfilling these offers. Having read some of the other reviews I wouldn't have contacted this company in the first place. It seems there is a fundamental issue with their customer service, fitting and quality of materials.

I have NEVER had such foul and disgusting behaviour directed towards me as I did from a member of your team this afternoon. A member of your team tonight appeared at my house to collect the rest of the balance. The balance that was never paid because the job was never completed. The standard the fitter left the blinds in was absolutely comical. No introduction, no hello, nothing. Just sheer arrogance and attitude. I was harassed on my own doorstep for this balance for a job that was supposedly finished last week. It was half completed about a month ago - we have never heard anything since. I was then threatened if I did not pay he would enter my house to take the blinds, and if I didn't let him in, the police were going to be phoned. I explained I was the only one home but this made no difference. Eventually he told me he would wait on someone else arriving home - to which he never did. He waited around five minutes. I have NEVER felt so SCARED in my entire life in my own home. Think it is DISGUSTING you allow your staff to speak and approach people like that. Oh, and did I mention, I'm only 20 years old. Yes. An older man spoke to me and harrased me like that when I was home alone. Absolutely disgusting. The blinds are being removed tomorrow and because of your horrific staff you will ultimately lose the sale. Hope you're proud of your staff.

this company is a complete joke 3 large vertical blinds and 1 venetian all wrong size or wrong colour 1st fitter couldn't even screw the brackets securely when complaining to their office they wanted to send the guy out to measure again but he was atotal idiot it was the second fitter that came who had to correct every thing but even had to come back as they sent wrong blinds again 3rd time lucky but if you look at the quality of the blinds very poor they have a company policy of blaming all the staff in the gyle shopping centre i see they are not there anymore which is a good thing sadly i have to put 1 star as it will not let me put zero

I would never recommend this company. I got the box for the roller blinds and out of 10 of them there's only one that's in tact. I'm very upset as they were very expensive and the quality is disgraceful they are cheap and nasty. Phoned them numerous times but now in the hands of trading standards.

I just wish I could show some photographs of the botched job of fitting a straight forward blind I have been left with. Please take my advice and do not go anywhere near this company. They take for ever to arrange the fitting and when you complain they are very abrupt and quite rude to deal with. Its very much take what they deliver and shut up about it. Once I pointed out the damage they had done they are in no hurry to fit and see this as an inconvenience. Very, very poor customer relations and you cannot get to speak to the very guarded Company Director if you want to take your complaint to the next level. You get Some office manager and he's extremely unhelpful. Be warned, If you order from them "take what you get".

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the service. I can see from our records that you had your 2 blinds installed on Tuesday 13th December 2016. You have then called on the Monday 19th December to report that you felt one of the blinds was fitted slightly out of line with the window fixture. An appointment was made for one of our installation team to call out on Wednesday 28th December and I can see that this has been corrected for you.
We are very sorry if you felt the response time to your concern was not quick enough but its was explained to you that our fitting team was fully booked for the final days before Christmas. You were however booked as a priority repair on the first day we could.
Shades Window Blinds recognise we have an obligation to our customers to provide the highest level of service at all times and this is why we will continue to provide fitting and repair appointments during the festive period. In most cases all repairs are carried out within 48 hours of reporting.

Delivered wrong blinds - All 4 of them. Wrong colour, (sent white instead of cream) material was cheap see through, as thin as paper. The rails were to be silver, they sent white. The kitchen blind should have had 6 eyelets.... it had 3 large holes with no eyelets in them... When I called to complain was told that is what I ordered and the rep stuck by this.... called me a liar and said its what I asked for... Have two witness's that where here at the time. Still fighting with them to get the correct blinds.... total disgrace of a company. Avoid at all costs !!!! Please believe me do not give them a penny until you see the goods a they don't do refunds or exchange, you get what they give you and if you don't like it.... tough !!!

We ordered blinds when they came there was a chip out of a Venetian blind and the vertical blinds were different lengths .Tj They came back and agreed and we had an appointment for the fitter to com and change them .He didn't turn up and didn't let us know .had to wait another week for another appointment hope he turns up this time as I have to travel 100 miles to make sure someone's at the house as my daughter works all day .I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone as the customer service is appalling as they keep saying it's all our fault for not being in when they want to come

Booked an appointment with 20% off nd further 10% when ordered.Paid deposit but calculation didn't add up phoned their office and girl had difficulty explaining how it was worked out. She was to call me back which she didn't do. Had to phone back and was given some nonsense about logistic charge for each blind.Went ahead as I'd paid deposit..wish I hadn't blinds are a little puckered at the bottom on inspection. Would never use or recommend this company again. Avoid!

Bought blinds from this company and it was a nightmare .wrong blinds ,bad workmanship ,terrible fitters ,don't turn up for appointments.
Wrong blinds ,blinds ,but no tools to fit them with with ,told them Wasn't paying for them ,they took the money from my account without my permission ,but was told they destroy your card details ,they do not .
they took my money and left me with no blinds ,awful workmanship,pelmets not attached ,belted me in the face and fell down when I touched them ,none of the blinds or pelmets attached or sit well.
Zero customer service ,don't answer phones ,wait in ,no fitters ,do not even think of buying from them
Went to check on my complaint on the review and surprise surprise it has magically disappeared .
Took them to trading standards as they were so bad ,esp as they stole money from my account
