Ordered two pairs of made to measure curtains. Empire: Alpine, Velvet. with Thermal linings and weights. What I got was badly made curtains, sewn with nylon thread, blackout linnings, and the material was seconds, and there we no weights in the hems. All I got was fobbed off and told that the area manager from the Empire company had checked the curtains and couldn't find anything wrong with them...I told them I wasn't accepting them, and wanted a refund...Yeah right like they were going oblige!. The material had pin holes in it, and one of the curtains had a bald patch where the velvet should be. Only that curtain was remade. I refused to accept that again. The manager at the Reading store is so incompetent, and hasn't a clue about custmer relations or about my statutory rights!!.
Right from the start they got the order wrong, and just wouldn't refund my money.....I went to another curtain company, and the manager there was livid over what I told him, and he offered to come with me to sort this out. What a hero...he showed the muppets all the faults, and told them we wanted a refund...He also got on to the head office, and told them what for, and that we demanded a refund, and we weren't going to be fobbed off with all their nonsense of the store manager has to talk to the area manager, who had to inspect the curtains, and the talk to HQ...jesus the bullsh*t went on...anyway all I can say is don't waste your money at Paul Simons....they try to run rough shod over the customers, their products are substandard, and don't last very long. They have no respect for the customer...so be warned!!!...Unsatisfied customer from Reading.
