Great quality carpet. Friend salesman. Rude carpet fitters.

I'd recommend carpets from Hillarys as they have a wide range and great quality carpets - exactly what I was looking for. The salesman was easy to talk to, friendly, and offered good advice on carpet types based on our requirements (i.e. high traffic areas, bedrooms). My partner and I feel we got a great deal compared to other quotes we got in from competitors and the sale and appointment booking went smoothly. On the day of fitting, the carpet fitters were late. They were not wearing Hillary's uniform as Hillary's outsource their work. Was not impressed with their professionalism from the get go. They put my brand new carpets on the road outside! I asked about it and they told me not to worry. They also told me I could leave my house while they fit my carpets (uh I don't think so). The carpets were fitted in about an hour or so and even though they'd done a good job at fitting them. I was left completely shocked at the fact that they were not going to vacuum the carpets (Which is what is advertised by Hillary's for the 'full service'on fitting - watch their video on their website). The two men left all the offcuts in our house! and didn't trim the doors down as their machine had broken and basically they couldn't do anything about it. I was fairly pleased with Hillary's customer service regarding this matter as I was on the phone to them during the fitting about everything that was going wrong and not what I paid for! They sent someone out on another date to trim the doors down for me. Can't remember his name but he was such a lovely man, trimmed the doors, took away the offcuts - he couldn't believe the mess they had left behind. Really appreciated his help. All in all I would buy from Hillary's again and would recommend to other people as the carpet quality is very good and competitively priced. However, Hillary's you really need to think about the impact on your brand and reputation for outsourcing work to contractors that really don't care about anyone but themselves.
