I have been paying my tesco credit card online for a number of months with no problems. On trying to pay this month's account I have been prompted to enter my Debit Card details. Being somewhat puzzled by this request, I contacted the helpdesk. They informed me that because of an upgrade to a new server, it is now necessary to add my Debit Card details again. When I asked where the previous entry was, I was informed that it had not been 'lost' but that it was necessary to re-enter my details. When I asked why customers had not been informed of this problem by email or letter, they maintained it was not the policy to communicate in this manner. I pass no comment other than to say I will not be entering my details again..
