The RBS Black Card is an "exclusive" credit card that comes with an annual fee of £250. For this you get a number of benefits including travel insurance and a concierge service, that can supposedly organize anything "legal" anywhere in the world. Taking them at their word, I attempted to use them to organize a birthday with 13 guests in Italy - caterers, singer, and musical instruments. After almost 4 weeks of effort, they managed the musical instruments at a rate of euro 400 for 4 days for an electric piano and guitar (I could probably have bought them for this price). The best catering offer they could find was euro 2500+ without wine (the worst was circa euro 4500). Finding a musician appeared impossible. I then asked them to book a restaurant instead, but it was the same story, ending up after two weeks or effort, with a meal at euro 125 per head, without wine, without any choice of dishes, and without being clear whether it was possible to have a table on a verandah (as they initially promised). In the end, it was quicker and easier to organize it myself. I will never sign up for anything like this again.
