Since my Egg card was transferred to Barclaycard, I have had nothing but trouble with it. All I wished to do was move the DD date back a few days from the end of the month to the beginning of the next month (as it was before the transfer from Egg). This required upwards of seven calls to customer services, month after month after month. Each agent had a different story and assured me it was sorted only for it still to be incorrect the next month. Every call resulted in a new agent and even having taken the name of a supervisor I spoke to it was apparently impossible to be transferred to the same person again. This culminated in me being charged interest two months running (despite assurances to the contrary and clearing the balance in full). Finally lost patience and closed the account. I will lose my cashback but a company with customer service this bad doesn’t get my business.
