I recently purchased a twelve pack of Beck's from a well known So.
CA supermarket. I thought I was buying Beck's brewed in Germany. I opened a bottle expecting the refreshing and delicious German beer and to my surprise found something much different. I checked the bottle's label. It did not indicate "Imported from Germany", but rather brewed by Budwiser - no doubt the Van Nuys brewery, but it the label did not state which brewery. THIS IS NOT BECK'S BEER FROM GERMANY!! It is far from tasting like the Beck's Beer which I've enjoyed over the years from Germany. If I buy Becks again, I will make sure it is not this, in my opinion, swill from Budweiser. Do I detect another domestic U.S. brewer trying to emulate a German beer... another Lowenbrau ???
