Very impressed at showroom and assistance given. All went according to plan re delivery and so far more than happy with my choice of Warren Evans. Goods delivered on time but damage noted on chest of drawers so was returned. Date arranged for replacement unit which looked OK. I moved unit after delivery guys had left, noticed that top board was not fully fixed into place and cut my finger on badly finished vertical edge of piece....splinters!! Obviously there is a quality control problem with Warren Evans as one defective piece well OK but two defines a problem. Had long conversations with someone from customer service who did nothing but provide many reasons why this and that could not be done.....e.g. only delivery drivers could come to look at piece and could only be fitted in with other deliveries - really!! I suggested that someone be sent from one of the branches bearing in mind that I had already paid and that this was second defective piece also causing injury..3 drawer Modern Long Chest. This could not be done as other staff do not have insurance to visit homes, at this point close to giving up I said "find a solution which suits me", explaining that with my business if there is a problem with our works then we respond immediately always and with a visit that same day invariably from one of my managers. Another later conversation with solution they make a third chest to deliver at same time as collecting second defective piece which I agreed to. Let's hope they have decent quality control this time and training takes place with customer service staff to put the customer first and not to provide reasons why solutions cannot be provided.
