Having just received a Trieste Extra Chunky Bunk bed and two Orthodelux mattress, we are very pleased with the service and quality of the product. The delivery driver kept us informed of his delivery time even to the point of advising us of the hold up on the M25. The website is good. It was easy to find what we wanted and to order and pay for the items. When I phoned to make enquiries, the woman I spoke to was very helpful. She sent me a text to keep me informed about the availability of the item. Delivery was on time and went ahead, despite our location being 30yds down a cliff path in literally gale force conditions! I purchased this clip on bed light and was sent a book light. The product I was sent is totally different from the one shown on the picture. The photo shows it clipped on to a bed with a description saying suitable for clipping on to pine or metal beds. This company say that the product they have sent us is correct when clearly it is different to the one advertised. Good quality materials, arrived on time with no missing items or problems. Only issue was that not all of the holes had been cleaned from wood swarf post drilling and needed to be cleared out prior to assembly and some of the hole alignments needed adjustment, apart from that a great purchase for the cost. Strictly beds and bunks - wow where to start? The estimated delivery date given when ordering is a false claim. Once your order goes through you get a completely different date which in my case didnt suit. So I contacted the customer services number which turns out to be the sales line. Amy was very helpful and sent me an email confirming the order was cancelled and I'd get the full refund in 7-10 days. this company delivered a bed that had the wrong accessories , when we phoned and enquired what could be done , we were told we'd have to speak to the managing director, who then refused to return our calls and was never in the office , we bought the correct accessories ourselves in the end from B&Q in order to assemble the bed, when i wrote a review telling this story on another review website ( which was full of very suspicious similar reviews all claiming what a great company it was from... I ordered the bed on line, got a confirmation text immediately, the delivery date was confirmed and they rang the day before to ask if it could be delivered a day early. My son is over the moon with his new bed. We have limited room so to be able to get a bed at this size and height was brilliant. The website was very easy to use and I received text to let me know exactly what was happening. When I rang to change my delivery day, staff were very helpful. Do not buy anything from this company, the selection and ordering process including delivery was easy and fast but the quality of the mattresses were disgraceful the mattresses make noises at every turn, the single mattresses were of such poor quality a 10 year old could feel every single spring through the mattress over. We bought the Juliet triple bunk bed , we have had it only one year , it looks great but the quality isn't very good and the mattresses are very poor one can feel the springs coming through and we didn't but the cheapest one , two of the wooden slats have broken and its only had a seven year old in the upper bunk and she isn't a big child and doesn't jump on beds . Be careful of this company, they might do well when things go well, but ask for a refund and they will become very deaf! I had to use a small claims court to get a reaction after they lied about making the refund. They then sent a sarcastic e-mail stating there legal right to take 30 days to make a refund for an order I cancelled in 48 hours after placing it. Texas Bunk beds ordered and received. Upright for ladder missing and a guard rail. Top bunk not safe or useable. Contacted Strictly beds and bunkbeds. Told to order bits online which I did. Ordered new mattress on line, received text next day with delivery day & advised driver would ring 30 mins before arrival, excellent for me being at work but only 15 mins away by car, so no day off required. Delivery day arrived received phone call to say driver had broken down so would be late. Ordered a 4ft6 brown leather bed with a memory foam mattress, took delivery just 2 days after ordering it, I was called prior to my delivery, the bed is now up and looks great! I bought the Duchess 3ft single white solid pine bunk bed with Orthodeluxe mattress and central rail upgrade. The assembley instructions are a joke and even when we managed to get the bunk bed up; 3 slats were broken, there were no fittings for the central rail and worst of all the deluxe mattress had springs you could feel all over it. I had a very bad experience with this company. I ordered bunk beds for my children. First they sent the wrong bed. They gave me a new delivery date for the bed. We waited at home, it didn't arrive. We finally received our bunk beds over a month late after a few short months a plank split. Took delivery of a bed on 19 October 2012, it was very poor quality so much that the holes didn't line up so impossible to assemble. They eventually collected the bed on 30 October 2012 after completely forgetting to collect the week before, and as of today 31 Jan 2013 I am still waiting for my money back. Purchased a bunk bed which came in 3 different boxes. The boxes contained many pieces of wood of all different shapes and sizes, only 4 pieces were labelled Yet the instructions stated all pieces were numbered. We purchased a white triple sleeper bunk bed and 2 memory foam mattresses. We ordered over the phone and was very pleased with the service I received. My bunk bed arrived on the Thursday after ordering it on the Monday. We received a phone call 30 minutes from their driver with an ETA. First delivery didn't arrive, rearranged delivery the wrong mattresses were delivered, when I called they were so rude and unhelpful I told them, to take it all back as I wanted nothing to do with them. Driver arrived and had been informed he was to replace the mattresses so couldn't collect, had to rearrange the collection again! We recently took delivery of a natural bunk bed. I never normally write reviews but I was so pleased with the service I received. My order was delivered to me just 2 days after ordering it online, very quick! The driver who delivered our order was helpful and even carried the boxes upstairs for me! I ordered a silver metal triple sleeper bunk bed for my two sons. The price wad affordable & we even got 10% off our order. We ordered online on the Wednesday and had delivery on the Friday! Very quick service and a helpful driver who carried it inside the house for me. We are very pleased with quality and its strong too so should last us years! These bunk beds are strong, sturdy & look fantastic...but they sure do take longer than the 'one hour assembly' - took my husband hours!! Even so...when they were finally assembled...we were very happy. I purchased a pack of bed bolts from strictly online. I didn't order the bed from this company but was missing a few bolts from a bed we purchased a few months ago, the ordering was simple and easy, I then had a text to say that they would be posted to me by Royal Mail. You are very lucky. I ordered a bed which came with missing bolts making it impossible to erect the bed. I phoned and emailed the company howevver have yet to hear anything two months later. This company have not herd of after sales. I eventually got some from srew fix.

I ordered a small bed, mattress, fitted sheet and protector. The bed arrived as planned but the instructions for erecting it consisted of a contents sheet. The fitted sheet and mattress protector have still not arrived eight weeks later and after numerous phone calls where staff promised to "get back to you today" or "we will send them out to you today". I have had same experience l shaped loft bed delivered , poor quality and parts missing. Recently the lower bunk collaped with child in it as two bits came apart. Lucky it wasnt the top bunk or chould have been very dangerous. I am going to reprot to trading standards as this company I think are putting childrens lives at risk. I have a child in a loft bunk that i am scared might collapse at any moment.

I agree, Watchdog possibly is the way forward. I have repeatedly emailed and called Strictly Beds and Bunks, and still no joy. It seems quite easy to initiate a Watchdog story. I'll let you know if I take this route...but obviously I'd rather just have the bed! I think I've been pretty understanding - at first I thought it was just a quality control issue with one item (which can happen to anyone, and is easily forgiven), but now I get the impression it is some sort of game...the more you ask, the less they respond.

I'm pleased to report that we finally received the post from Strictly Beds and Bunks and my son is now happy with his new bed. My parents, who assembled it, did say however that if they'd simply followed the instructions it would not be standing because there were essential components that hadn't even been mentioned in the instructions. They just had to figure out where to put them. It seems fine and sturdy now. Not entirely satisfactory, and potentially quite dangerous for anyone who doesn't figure it out for themselves, but it worked out in the end for us, so that's the end of that. Not sure whether it was just a coincidence, but they finally pulled their finger out and got the post to us when I mentioned TV, consumer rights and the directors' (according to a directors' review website) less-than-impressive past.

On my experience I would advise you to steer well clear of Strictly Beds & Bunks. Although you can get through to them on the phone and the website boasts great customer service I found the customer service to be terrible. Having paid nearly £20 for delivery and having to wait a week the 1st delivery was cancelled by them the morning it was due to arrive. Everytime I call ask to speak to a manager no manager is present to take a call (or return the call).
