I purchased a new mattress just after Christmas from an online supplier and since it was out of stock I opted for their suggested alternative. It arrived the next day however, after a couple of nights my wife and I realised that the mattress was far too firm. We spent £70 on a luxury quilted topper and although it was a lot better be still found that it was too firm. Since sleeping on this we have both suffered with numerous aches and pains. My wife had aching in her hips and my upper back was constantly stiff and painful. I also found that I suffered from extreme pins and needles in my arms and hands every night.
We went on holiday at the beginning of June and the hotel we stayed at had memory foam mattresses in all of their rooms. We had the best sleep ever and within two days my back ache had eased so much. In fact it had pretty much gone.
We returned from our holiday and I immediately began looking online for a cheaper alternative to buying another new mattress. I found many cheaper memory foam mattress toppers but once I'd visited the Snug website I felt that I would be getting a far superior product from them. I called the helpline and decided to purchase a King Size 7.5cm (50kg) memory foam topper complete with a Coolmax cover based on the advice given.
It arrived the next day and since then we have both had extremely comfortable nights sleep. Our aches and pains have gone and I rarely have pins and needles. We wake up in the same position that we fell asleep in.
I honestly wish I'd bought one of these in the first place when I realised the mattress was too hard. I'm just happy knowing that from now on we'll be looking forward to great nights sleep, every night.
