“Credit where credit is due”

I purchased many items from this company before they ran into difficulty. They were good value for money and had some really good products! My last order at the begining of the year was delayed due to problems with city link - I was annoyed, but understood that it was beyond their control .. They were fantastic and did their utmost to get my good to me (even if it was at their own cost). I really hope they can trade again as I wouldn't think twice about purchasing from them again!

“Slow Delivery and Poor Customer Service”

I ordered a mattress on 18 Feb, online, and payment was taken from my bank on 19 Feb. The following week as there was no sign of delivery I emailed to be told the mattress was being made to order - so MonsterBeds do not have items in stock they advertise for sale. On 2 March I telephoned as still no sign of mattress and I was told it was with the courier - I told them that their website is misleading as it says delivery in 3 - 5 days! So that was 4 days ago, how long does it take to deliver a mattress? So an order made on 18 Feb and still not sign of the mattress even though Monster have taken the payment. I would advice no-one to deal with this company!

“Appalling!”

I don't usually write reviews but this company need to be named and shamed - no one should use them! I spoke to someone from the customer services team before placing my order and explained that I needed a quick delivery if this was possible, they said this was fine as both my items were in stock and that I would be in receipt of all my items within 3 days, perfect... or so it seemed. The 3 days came and passed and I had still received nothing, 2 days after that I tried contacting Monster Beds via telephone roughly 20 times but no one answered the phone all day. I left an answer machine message, emailed and had no response. The following day I finally got through and was promised my items would be delivered in two parts (the bed the following day and the mattress the day after that). The bed came however I am STILL awaiting my mattress 10 days on from the date I placed and paid for my order and again it has been the same situation today with no one answering the telephone or responding to emails. This companies idea of ''customer service'' is quite frankly a joke. They continue to promise that they are ''looking into things'' and ''chasing the courier service'' but this is just a continuous bundle of lies. Do not use this company if you are trying to save an extra few quid, it's not worth the hassle or time taken out of anyone's day trying to get in contact with them.

“Terrible Company”

This is the worse company in the world !!! Bed was in awful condition, customer services is outrageous. I still haven't been refunded for the item even though it was collected three weeks ago after a month of going back and forth with the company. Please dont use this company as they shouldn't be trading !!!!

“Awful service ”

I emailed in December 2014 in order to raise concerns with customer service that the bed was faulty. Initially the response was that the bed had been “misused” and therefore was not eligible for repair or replacement. This decision was made without any investigation by the manufacturer or MonsterBeds.co.uk, other than the brief description of the fault I outlined in my original email. This immediately concerned me as it seemed dismissive of the problem. Further to this I was asked to have somebody check on the item in order to ascertain which parts were damaged, which I then forwarded to them by email on 15th January 2015. This stated that I needed 9,10,11,12&13 because the connectors from 10 had faulty welds, which snapped and were now stuck inside 12 & 13. The fact that one faulty weld had given way had caused 9 to bend when the bed was lifted, putting strain on the other 2 faulty welds, which are either in the process of breaking apart or already broken. On 19th January I was informed that the replacement cost for these items would be £60. I was also informed that your customer service assistant had contacted Trading Standards with regards the issue. I was then given false information by this person on what Trading Standards had said. I was then further informed on 20th January that the guarantee for the bed was with the manufacturer and not MonsterBeds.co.uk, I was further told that as MonsterBeds.co.uk is a “drop ship” company, responsible only for forwarding stock. This, I think, was in order to absolve their company of any responsibility for the issue, or for the cost of replacing the faulty parts. I have since contacted Trading Standards again, and have discussed a way to move forward with this complaint. I have been informed that my guarantee, and subsequently my rights to repair or replacement, lie with the retailer – MonsterBeds.co.uk, the company that sold me the product – not the manufacturer, and so I must make any claim against them. Furthermore, under the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the retailer must either repair or replace faulty goods 'within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience'. Given that I raised this complaint in December 2014, and it is now nearing February 2015, I have spent almost 2 months sleeping on a mattress on my bedroom floor. I have explained previously that I am 6 months pregnant, and physically disabled. Having to sleep on the floor has caused me an increase in pain and discomfort, for which my GP has expressed severe concern. I’m sure you will agree that this constitutes significant inconvenience. So far MonsterBeds.co.uk has ignored my complaint, and left a disabled pregnant customer sleeping on the floor.

“Worst customer service ever”

Bed was not delivered on day company said it would be so had to cancel order on 22 December in order to obtain a replacement in time for holiday. Since then been trying to get my money refunded. Twice been promised repayment in emails but nothing received! This company completely ignores the Consumer Contacts Regulations, does not respond to emails or voice messages. I am still awaiting my refund. My advice is to avoid this company in case you need to cancel or get them to deal with a faulty item - they just ignore you!

“Wooden Bed Frame snapped after 13 months.”

I bought a small double white faux leather bed with wooden frame and mattress. A slight hiccup that the bed arrived but not the mattress - but the matter was quickly sorted and I was happy - I wrote a very positive review. 13 months later the wooden bed frame suddenly snapped. When we had a look there was a knot in the wood where the frame had snapped, which would explain why the wood frame was weak. As the guarantee is only for 12 months, I accepted it was unlikely a replacement would be free of charge. As I really liked the "look" of the bed I rang Monster Beds and explained what had happened, sent them a photo and the customer service person was sympathetic. I asked if they were prepared to replace the bed at a discounted price - I thought 20% discount would be a reasonable discountin the circumstances - that's where the sympathy ends - they offered 5% (and the price quoted was the same shown on the website anyway). They advised any increase discount meant they wouldn't make a profit ...... well I advised them they won't be making any future profit from me as I won't be a returning customer!

“rubbish”

This is pathetic i have been waiting for my daughters bed since the first 1st of august they said it was the next day delivery so i waited the next day to see if the bed came when the bed came it was the wrong delivery so rang up they didn't answer three times then we rang up the next day they said to send the wrong package to the email they took ages ages to reply.The still took the money out of my account !!! This is the last time i order anything on this website!! rubbish !!!! HATE THIS WEBSITE IT'S RUBBISH

“Will Never Use again”

Abosolutely terrible service. This is the second time i have used Monster Beds and on both occasions neither beds arrived on time. The first was a guaranteed next day delivery which we received over a week later. The current order is going on 4 weeks late with the delivery date continually getting moved back. I am shocked at the service and blatant lies on delivery times stated on the website.

“Beware buyer!”

I never, ever write a review however I am compelled to if it saves someone else experiencing the same problems with Monster beds as I am. I ordered a bed from them but had to cancel almost immediately as they couldn't deliver it quickly enough. Over three weeks, and several calls chasing, later, I am still awaiting my refund. I have just had a very rude girl on the phone who wouldn't even let me speak when I offered my disgust at their 'up to 30 days before they might refund' policy. BUYER BEWARE!

I dont usually bother to write reviews as I dont think people actually read them but after seeing all the negative feedback on this site, I felt I had to. I needed a bed and a mattress and so after a lot of research, I bought both products off monster beds. I had lots of questions and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and gave me the confidence to order the products I wanted. Although an all day delivery slot is a pain as it means waiting about all day, its not different to argos or currys for eg so I didnt mind. both were delivered on the day of choice with no problems,and still going strong. it really annoys me that people are quick to complain and never give any positive feedback. I have no hesitation in recommending this company to family and friends and will be ordering off them again.

We spotted this bed in a local store but were put off by long delivery times and a £20 delivery charge being only 3 miles away from the shop. We found Monster Beds on Google and made a £60 saving on the bed plus a £20 saving on delivery charge. We were contacted the day after placing an order and the bed was delivered the following day as stated. Everything arrived in perfect condition, with clear and easy to follow assembly instructions. Couldn't be more pleased and would definitely use again.

“Beware pricing”

I ordered a fold up bed recently thinking it would be the best price I could find. True to their promise the bed arrived the next morning. I normally research prices prior to ordering but failed to on this occasion. I found the bed £16 cheaper at Tesco direct and even though Tesco had a discount, their original price was still £13 cheaper than at monster beds. I emailed the company immediately but they failed to respond. Reading terms and conditions they will only beat the price if you inform them before placing the order. Do your research before buying.

“Dear Me.”

My wife and I ordered and faux leather bed frame for our son and daughter in law, which turned out to be a massive mistake. Assuming (wrongly) the company was successful enough to operate a six to seven day working/dispatch week ordered the bed on Saturday. Having waited in all day on Monday my son still had no bed, I called the company to be told that orders placed on Saturday don't make it on the system sometimes until late Monday, why I do not know. So Monday no bed frame, but was promised the bed frame on Tuesday. Tuesday arrived and still no bed frame, so we contacted the company again to be told that the courier TNT, could not find the address, anybody that can use a sat nav and read a map could find this property also no effort was made to call the contact number we left should there be any problems. At this stage our son had waiting in when he was supposed to be at work now for two days. Wednesday came and the courier alleged he found the property but there was a sign on the front door saying closed for staff training, this was a complete blatant lie and again no effort was made to call the contact details we left. So now three day had passed with no bed frame and I would like to add our son now had waited in for three days sacrificing work and any type of social activities and as he had already moved his previous bed frame out of the property in anticipation of the new bed frame arriving was sleeping on the floor. So by today Thursday my wife and I had had enough so called and cancelled the order, to which received a half hearted apology, not even any attempt to make the situation better no compensation and here's the best bit that the refund could take up to thirty days, thirty days to give the money back and only on click of a confirm order take the money. My wife and I would like to warn anyone wanting to buy from this company to deal with a more reputable one and be mindful that you get what you pay for. We are also hoping that Monsterbeds reads this review and offers some type of response.

“Failed delivery”

I ordered a divan base form Monster Beds. The delivery company rang to arrange delivery but they could not give me any indication when during the day it may be. So I took the day off work and waited in all day. By 5.30pm they had not arrived. I had no contact details for the delivery company and Monster Beds ere closed. I emailed Monster Beds and was told the delivery company should have called me as they had failed to put my divan on the lorry for delivery. I said the bed would now need to be delivered at a time convenient to me, which following two broken promises did not happen. I have requested a full refund, which I'm told was handed to the accounts department marked as urgent. Eleven days later I'm still waiting.

“Twice Failed Delivery - Disgusting customer care”

I have ordered 2 items from Monster beds now, one was a 'firm' matress which clearly was not 'firm' which I had to return and after 2 weeks of failied collections they finally collected it, no apology for the time take off work or reason for the failed collections. I have recently ordered a single matress and have had 2 failed deliveries after having spent two days waiting for this to be delivered on the agreed occasions. I chased 3 times by email to then chase by phone only to be told by Tracey she found me to be rude, again no apology or anything for my wasted time. Then I was just told not their fault as their courier service failed to deliver. I am still waiting after a further 2 emails and no reply for confirmation of the 3rd delivery date!! My Advice would be get a matress from a local firm that you can go into and complain not a faceless call centre where they do not pick up the calls or respond to emails. Of course they already have been paid for the goods.
