“Atticus Sofa”

We bought a sofa just under two years and have been complaining about it ever since. Finally Loaf accept that it is badly designed and call it a "manufacturing fault" after a run around and various people coming out to look at it. But even then they are only offering an exchange for the same one or a smaller sofa! We want it taken away and a refund but they are having none of it. Appalling quality and customer service. So glad I have found this ! Ok we have the atticus corner sofa delivered in November and around Christmas phoned them as not happy with the cushions (hard in the middle and collapse around the edges ) it's so uncomfortable , the guy told us that's how they are when he come out but he was just a furniture doctor who doesn't work for loaf ! They offered us an exchange but we decided to go with what we had as was told the cushions would soften with age and that also all the sofas are the same from loaf so would just find it would happen again ! However 6 months later and the sofa is worse , we don't even sit on it now ....

“what a shambles ”

We brought a sofa on line with a discount of £500. We received all the paperwork to say we had brought it, they even took our money,(which they haven't returned). We then got a call 5 days later to say someone else had actually brought the sofa so we could not have it. But they could sell us one with only a £150 discount. “Expensive with sub-standard quality and service”

Made three orders with Loaf: 1. Mattress and bed: The delivery men couldn't get the mattress up the stairs. They almost gave up and made me do it myself until I specifically instructed them what to do. 2. Wardobe: the delivery men refused to assemble as half the floor space was taken up by an electrician. The door handles broke, I've waited for two weeks so far and still no replacement. 3. “Appalling service!”

Ordered blinds on 3 June with a promised three to four week delivery date. Seven weeks later .... and four phone calls later , I have no blinds and no explanation. Employees that have spoken to me on the phone have failed to get back to me or return my calls or e mail. I have been promised a full refund plus £100 credit but none of this has materialised either. This is my first ever review of a company - I have never bothered before, but I have found Loaf so poor that I cannot but share my experience. We ordered a dining table and chairs from Loaf in Nov 2016, expecting a delivery in Feb 2017. However, within a couple of days of the items arriving, we noticed that one of the chairs was faulty. “£4K down and very rueful!”

spent around £4K on two storage beds six years ago; one with drawers and one with a piston mechanism. Both are now faulty and loaf has apparently no way of mending either. After months of toing and froing, I was offered £150 off purchase of a new bed as recompense: I won't be taking that up. I've just spotted that another customer was offered £75 for having to dispose of miscellaneous packaging, which puts this offer into perspective. “Dont buy from this company - awful, awful, awful”

I ordered a sofa in August 2016. 10 weeks to deliver, 1st sofa was the wrong one, 2nd sofa was right but took weeks to deliver, to and fro with loaf as company that delivered sofa were incompetent, bashed around my house, couldn't fit the legs, got annoyed at me the customer only to be left with a sofa that wobbled and swayed. “Don't do it!”

Two days waiting at home later, we are still without the sofa that should have been delivered (exchanged for one that was not fit for purpose might I add). Not only are we still without the product (that is all paid for - that bit was efficient) but in the meantime we have spent a lot of time and effort chasing up our delivery. I placed an order and paid in full for a dining table and 4 chairs on 2nd January 2017 (with Bela) and was advised that they would be delivered in February as the dining table was initially out of stock. “Dreadful”

Terrible insincere service, lots of 'how are you', 'we will sort this out' 'promise to turn this around' etc. Paid 28/1/17 promised delivery 21/2/17, no sign of anything. Delivery cancelled the day before expected delivery day, because they ordered the wrong mattress even though I got them to confirm order by email too. Luckily, I didn't have to take a day off work! “Slow..”

Extended lead times - 11 weeks in and still have not received my footstool on a 7-9 week lead time. In Stock items - Although in stock they only send with the items on a long lead time so you are waiting unnecessarily so they can save the carriage charge. On hold - Always for at least 25 mins and have called during the week, last thing at night and saturday morning, always them same. Worse than BT. They need to invest more in customer service staff . All true. I am having exactly the same problem and actually called the delivery depot to sort out myself. From my dereadful experience of Loaf I shall never order from them again. Paid nearly £2,500 for a bed/mattress/side table in January and still waiting...even worse they cocked up on the mattress order and that will now take even longer to be delivered. Hugely frustrating and has postponed moving in to new bedroom because of it by nearly two months, all should of been delivered together on 21/2/17 Also, still waiting for £60 delivery refund as they cancelled initial delivery due to mattress reorder. No sign of that.

If you are thinking of buying anything from Loaf please DON'T we have had a horrific experience with them and STILL waiting for our refund, which if we don't get it soon we will have to take legal action to recover. My husband and I (with 2 children in tow) had at least 2 visits to the Loaf store in Battersea where the staff were brilliant! We sat on a Cloud corner sofa which was a sofa bed and were advised that our sofa would feel different because we weren't ordering the sofa bed. I purchased the atticus corner sofa. I wrote to them advising we were not happy with it as the cushions all slanted forward when you sat on it making it extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sit on. They replied that since I purchased it, they have changed the filling in the cushions to incorporate foam and not just feathers and they made all new cushions for it. I must say that now it has foam and feathers in the cushions it is 100 per cent better. I originally purchased it in November 2015 with delivery around February 2016

I ordered my sofa almost four months ago and was promised delivery in November (it's now almost Christmas). All looked good until I got a call from the courier saying Loaf had cancelled the delivery - Loaf then claimed the courier had lost it. Bought a new bed in November, so we'd have it well before Christmas - even called them at time of order to check it was in stock, rather than risk just a web purchase. Two weeks later, still no contact from Loaf, so tried (and failed) to get a hold of them on the phone.
