“MISSING PARTS - POOR SERVICE”

THIS RELATES TO A CARNATION DIVAN SET PURCHASE - A REQUEST WAS MADE FOR A DIVAN BASE COMPONENT PACK AS THE ORIGINAL ONE COULD NOT BE FOUND ( LATER FOUND INSIDE BASE UNIT AND NOT STAPLED TO THE BACK AS THE OTHER ONE WAS ) - IT TOOK OVER A WEEK AND NUMEROUS TELEPHONE CALLS AND A VISIT TO THE LOCAL STORE BEFORE WE FINALLY RECEIVED A REPLACEMENT PACK BUT WHICH WAS THE WRONG ONE. WE WERE GIVEN MISLEADING ADVICE BY THE FACTORY I.E. THAT THE MATTER WAS BEING ATTENDED TO WHEN IT WASN'T, AND NO RECORD HAD BEEN LOGGED IN ON THE SYSTEM WHEN A CHECK WAS MADE AT THE STORE. THE RESULT WAS THAT WE HAD A PART MADE UP BED FOR OVER A WEEK AND HAD TO SLEEP IN CHAIRS DOWNSTAIRS ! THIS WAS A TOTALLY FRUSTRATING AND UNACCEPTABLE SITUATION WHEN ALL THAT WAS NEEDED WAS WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A SIMPLE 'OFF THE SHELF 'DELIVERY MADE BY ROYAL MAIL SPECIAL DELIVERY ( OR SIMILAR ). ON THE POSITIVE SAID WE MUST COMPLIMENT THE PETERBOROUGH STORE STAFF WHO DID EVERYTHING TO TRY AND HELP AND THE FINAL CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE EXECUTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER WAS ALSO VERY GOOD.
