I obtained a cashback card about a year ago and was disappointed with the credit limit and so have never used the card. Now that they are going to charge a monthly fee I tried to cancel the card. I had thrown away all of the details issued with the card and also thought that I had disposed of the card but found it after a search. Yesterday I phoned and tried to cancel but couldn't answer a security question as I had thrown all info away. They said that I had to go to a branch with ID to cancel, I'm livid. I phoned today and had different security questions which I fully answered but as I 'failed' yesterday they said that I had to go to a branch with ID. I will do this and will be pleased to offload this carp bank.
If I had known or had an inkling of the low credit limit which may be offered, I would never have bothered.......at least all of this will have cost Santander...............
