My mother died in November 2010 to pay her funeral I needed a bankers draft from the counter out of her account, they tried to charge me for the bankers draft. I explained to the cashier that if my mother was alive to sign the cheque for her own funeral then we wouldn't be having this problem. Instead of common sense kicking in she got the manager who agreed the fee should be waived. How many people have they ripped off this way? Disgusting! I will never ever use Santander due to additional issues with them writing to my dead mother and not stopping money going out of her bank account and don't get me started on the issues we had with her mortgage through them! 3 years of hell I had with this bank after my mother died Nationwide sorted it all in 3 months
