“Fantastic efficient friendly”

I had a car accident- my first so had no clue other than to call the insurance company. Nationwide stepped in and helped every step of the way from collecting at the roadside to updates and then dropping the car back to me. They arranged a courtesy car which was also delivered to me! Cannot fault the seamless service. No effort on my part after what was a horrible time for me. Servcie fantastic and i will mention a name because we should celebrate great customer service! “WORST COMPANY GOING AND STAFF ARE BEYOND USELESS.”

This bank are an absolute nightmare and the worst company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. They do not deal in emails (apparently) only faxes! My husband had to make a 50 mile trip to hand over some paperwork which they did nothing with for 2 months! The mortgage consultants are an absolute joke and have no clue what they are doing and are never in the office. Ours went on holiday, then was ill and nobody else could deal with our case. “Cannot use Visa in Turkey”

I wasn't advised that my debit visa card would not work in Turkey, when I asked about charges for its use. My holiday was spoiled and I had to go without eating out and excursions. I am very angry because I don't get a holiday every year. If I had known I would have taken more liras/travel card

“Brilliant helpful bank”

This bank has helped me and my family own my mothers house and be able to put the sudden death of my mother to a close. The staff at the Ealing branch will go out of their way to help I have the most respect for them as they actually try to get to know their customers. “Left me without money!”

In the process of moving house i lose my card, search high and low for it and had to order a replacement. in this time i tried to get cash out 3 times in 2 weeks as i'm still waiting on my card. Applied for mortgage 1 year ago filled in forms bank statements they had everything they asked for, we didnt hear from them have chased and chased have now been waiting for over a year, and bearing in mind we were accepted in april 2013, dont fone complaints dept they are useless,just called for progress and they still dont know and refuse to get update from solicitors all in all its been a absolute NIGHTMARE SONT TOUCH THESE PEOPLE for a mortgage they dont give a damn how can 1 year of… Read Full Review

How right you are! We are in the same position this bank are an absolute nightmare and the worst company I have had the misfortune to deal with. They do not deal in emails (apparently) only faxes! The mortgage consultants are an absolute joke and have no clue what they are doing and are never in the office. Ours went on holiday, then was ill and nobody else could deal with our case. The excuses are so ridiculous that they literally bring you to tears with frustration. I literally find it hard to find the words to describe how universally appalling and awful this company and everybody who works for it is!

I run my own business and have had to take time out of work to speak to these idiots on the phone time and time again. My husband and I are stressed all the time as we live in rented accommodation with 3 small children and no garden and who are sharing a bedroom.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT WILL BE THE WORST THING YOU EVER DO!

We have a loan, a mortgage, a current account and savings account with Nationwide. Every application was quick and easy to do. We were given the typical APR on the loan and mortgage. The mortgage can be monitored through the online banking system and we can overpay as much as we want, which is great! Anytime we have decided to phone them, it has been quick and easy to get through to a real person, instead of getting stuck in a list of inappropriate menu options (i.e Co-op!!!) “The most incompetent bank I have dealt with”

Three weeks ago I have opened Flex Direct account, since then I am experiencing mistake after mistake. First they could not register my details for internet banking (I can not use branch) so they push this to me. Obviously I was not able to do that so they registered me manually but forgot to send me card reader and passwords necessary to confirm my internet banking. “No common sense”

We tried to get a loan from Nationwide bank. They said they found a lien on our property from 1999 placed on the property by NATIONSBANC MTG CORP and requested that we get a Satisfaction Letter. However, since we have refinanced at least twice since 1999. Once with Wells Fargo and our current mortgage is with Citibank.
