Absolutely avoid switching with Halifax like the plague.They tell you it will all be sorted by themselves when we found out Tesco were going to void our home insurance due to being unable to take a DD out of our old account.Had to pay for the monthly dd over the phone to Tesco's. Customer service not interested once they have you signed up and still awaiting our debit cards wich are overdue therefore if we need any cash in the meantime it's a 6mile round trip to the bank.Woeful service that should be investigated by the Ombudsman.
