I made an appointment (with my wife) to visit the Halifax Branch in Carmarthen to open two ISA's. I have several other ISA;s with them and including all the FSA stuff they have to do this should not take more than 15 minutes. However, the member of staff kept asking would I like to open their bank account etc. I made it very clear in a very polite manner that I didn't want any other services but she kept persisting. When I raised my voice in frustration she told me not to speak to her like that. At which point I told HER not to speak to me like that and asked to speak to the manager and she disappeared out of the door to have a cry (I suspect). I finally managed to get this done with another member of staff in 3 minutes flat once they knew I wasn't there to be mucked about. Appalling bank who just want to flog you other products and who don't listen to their customers.
