I had a business account with barclays for my online travel agency.
Barclays block my online access without notice during the month of october 2014 and when I called to find out what happened, my call was answered by india based customer service office and the staff member use foul language, abuse me for being a muslim and a pakistani person. such comments are prohibted in uk under race discrimination act.
I made complain to barclays and bank did not replied to me, I made complain to financial ombudman and bank confirm to them that their staff member were raciest but they will not take any action against that person. (bank will protect someone who broke the uk law)
There was £10,500/- frozen form my account and I was told over the phone that since I have raised complain against bank staff, my account is closed. My personal and business accounts are closed without any notice and without any written reason provided.
Bank is not giving my business money of £10,500/- back.
