Over half the time there is usually a hitch with either the online or mobile app banking. And over 87% of the time when you get through to the customer service and averagely 7.35 minutes later, not only are you taken through security questions of which a third of is absolutely unnecessary and way over the top to stressing "security", you shockingly discover not only do they not understand your problem, they also place you on hold to coming back in telling you "sorry I can't help" like that makes it all ok for suffering you for 18.7 minutes!
Why don't Barclays establish what the problem is first and if it is something they can resolve proceed with security questions - it saves a lot of time and trouble!
Then there is your own call back as you have been directed to finding out the first person who "attempted" to solve your problem is totally incompetent as mildly suggested by the second customer service help...who again offers another "sorry" not forgetting you have awaited another 12 minutes...and when all has been established he too can't solve the problem!
Barclays bank customer services is the worst ever...and if you have nothing to do and feel chatty then call...73% of the time your problems will never be solved...an utter pointless exercise and huge waste of time...which leaves one contemplating quitting banking with Barclays.
