I have been with them for 25 years now and after buying stuff online using my PayPal account the bank declined the payments even though I had enough money to cover them all. Luckily PayPal then took them as debit card payments. Rang Halifax to query why this had happened they have blamed me for putting my details in wrong when I explained I have used this service before several times they tried to blame PayPal. When u said I have seen the instruction sent to the bank from PayPal and all the details are correct they said they hadn't received it even though they had already admitted having received it twice. Have opened a new account with Barclays and will be banking with them from now on. WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER RECEIVED!!!!
