I've been with CardOne for 4 months and it works for me, once you get used to the slight idiosyncrasies of this type of banking. I haven't had credit problems, but I quickly needed an account where I could manage my own money and keep it separate from our household accounts. The BEST thing is that all the call centre operatives are based in the UK and I rarely have to hold the line. They are helpful and fully explain everything. Setting up the account was easy - although they did try to take initial payment twice - once online and once when an operative called back to finish off setting up the account. Simply dealt with, though, once I'd explained there was no problem.
The only issue I have (which is mostly my fault rather than cardone) is that my card sometimes doesn't work. Mostly it's because I've forgotten to load the card with funds...but truthfully this is so easily done by text that there is no excuse. Occasionally I find someone who doesn't like to take a preloaded debit card, but it is rare.
