Ordered a set which consisted of cot, wardrobe and chest of drawers to be delivered today (27/7/12) was told in the shop when we ordered that the delivery time would be between 8am and 5:30pm. We would receive a text saying a more accurate time. At 2pm my husband rang Mothercare to double check order was coming. We were told it was on the van. At 4:05pm we received a text saying our delivery would be with us between 12pm and 8pm...different to what we were told in the shop. Why send a text at 4pm after we had been waiting since 8am! At 7pm still no delivery so I called the customer service number again. A polite but unhelpful woman told me our delivery was definitely coming. I said I think it's appaling customer service to not be given a more accurate time and how we had been waiting for 11 hours for this delivery and had taken a day off work especially. I waited until 7:50pm to call again only to be told firstly they (mothercare customer service) couldn't get in touch with the depot or courier to see where our order was. They could just tell us our order was on the van. After I ranted a bit about waiting in all day, paying £550 for this set, not receiving the text til gone 4pm etc she said I'll get in touch with the depot! Why not do that in the first place! Woman then came back and said our order was on van and could be delivered anytime! as for goodwill gesture...when goods have been delivered ring them again and we may get some vouchers to spend in Mothercare! Shouldn't that be If the order ever arrives!!
I'm very dissappointed with Mothercare. The customer service is rubbish...the delivery is no where to be seen and I'm furious at the ' if it doesn't come today it'll come tomorrow ' that the first woman at customer services told me attitude!
I will never go into a Mothercare again!!
