Item: BSA A65 Oil In Frame Lightning 650cc
Never heard such rubbish about the oil filler cap causing the timing side bush to fail. Cause of failiure of this bush is now generally accepted to be poor maintenance such as the lack of essential regular oil changes or the fitting of a sub standard pattern bush during strip down. The BSA A65 650cc has been much maligned in the past by people who should have known better and reviews such as this one don't help to dismiss the myths about this excellent ...

The BSA A10 Super Rocket basically had the same motor as the Rocket Gold Star minus the manual ignition advance & retard and the Gold Star cycle parts & frame with the 'kink' for the oul pump. Good handling & aluminum conical hubs with a twin leading shoe front break with great looks & the throaty roar of a Brit twin. However, bronze bush for the timing side crank bearing, overheats due to the oil filler cap not being exposed to an airflow. Small petrol tank limiting range, vibrates like a demented washing ...

Item: BSA A10 Road Rocket
The BSA A10 Road Rocket had excellent handling & spares have allways been available, very reliable when used on A roads. Pulled me , the girlfriend of the day & all the camping gear up Porlock Hill at a very brisk pace on more than one occasion. Unfortunately mine seemed to have poor breaks, the single leading shoe front hub needed replacing with a twin leading shoe after market propriety type, of which there were plenty available. I think this bike was made obsolete by motorways & multi ...
