These modern Outback BBQs are not as good as the original Outbacks now they are made in China with sub-standard material used. We have had our Outback 3 years now and it is on its last legs, which is very poor service given the BBQ is only used for about 20 weeks in a year, then cleaned put in the shed with a cover on it. The burners are not powerful enough to heat to the sides and front and back so cooking is limited to the central areas only. So now you have a large BBQ when something half the size would have sufficed. Thinking of spending £400 to £600 for a BBQ then think elsewhere. Does not represent good value for money compared to buying other garden hardware such as a petrol lawn mower, and used about as much as a BBQ.

I bought an expensive Outback 3 burner hooded BBQ which lasted 2 years only. Having paid in excess of £360 I thought that key replaceable parts would be readily available, wrong! They did make replacement burners but to fit them you have to remove the ignition system meaning that to use the BBQ you have to lift the grill plates and light them manually! Outback spares are very expensive if bought from the recognised supplier so shop around! Do not purchase an Outback BBQ if you expect durability and value for money

I have just purchased a Spectrum 2 and have only used it once and now realise what a big mistake I have just made. I have BBQ for many years but this must be the worst experience I have ever had.
It comprises of 2 burners but you are only able to cook on less than 2/3 of the cooking area- what a let down. I will try and get my money back for it is not fit for purpose.
Would I recommend this particular model - No

We use our Omega BBQ every year and we have had it 3 years now from www.poplartreegardencentre.co.uk we think it is fantastic and the whole family gets a lot of happy times out of this bbq. I like the fact the hood covers the food to act like an oven so everything cooks well

Convenient (previously had charcoal BBQ's). But dissappointed in the rusted burner after only two years. If the burner can be replaced, happy to keep it for another two years before BBQ replacement.
Needs regular cleaning under the coals bi-weekly during frequent use. Gas is not the same BBQ taste as coals, but worth the sacrifice for the conveneience.
Overall, pleased with it for two years, but should be made for better longevity.

We take our Outback Omega 300 away camping every year and use it very frequently at home too. Required a replacement burner after 3 years of very heavy use but found the Outback Spares site easy to use and replacement burner only 24.99. Considering the purchase price ( £99) I think this BBQ represents excellent value for money.

Only fours years old - always cleaned well and stored inside and in need of lots of new parts! As other review, also tempremental when cooking with quite a lot of cold spots.

Only buy Outback Omega 300 if you want to use for a short season and cannot afford to buy a real barbecue.
A pig to clean, and is very uneven in cooking. Affected by anything more than a light breeze.
