This printer is the worst I have ever used...or not used....as it has not worked properly since I baught it. Who on earth designed this load of rubbish. It says ink low when it isn't It says paper jam when there isn't one. The ink cartridges don't line up to replace. If you can get it to print at all you will fall asleep before it is done. I have used all makes of printer but none as bad as this one. Only fit for the waste bin.

“Load of rubbish”

Seldom manages to load paper, often won't work because of non existent paper jams. Slow. 20 pages or so and refuses to print anything because of low ink. Next time I'm buying on a budget I'll be getting crayons they'll be quicker and last longer.

“Slow”

I've had 3 inject printers in my past dating back to 1999, but this has to be slowest of them all. It uses ink at an alarming rate too but the quality is very good. But £30 for a printer and scanner, you get what you paid for!

“DO NOT BUY! ABSOLUTE SCAM”

★☆☆☆☆

written by on 26/11/2012

This is quite possibly the worst EVER product i have ever bought. Foolishly, I thought I was onto a bargain when I bought this from Argos, i think it was around £30...however the excitement was short lived when the practically empty cartridges which were supplied ran out. I was only really interested in printing in black, but to my utter amazement found out that you have to replace ALL cartridges (even if you do not intend to use them) to even get black working. So i have bought 4 cartridges now, setting me back another £30, and now the black isn't even working at all!! I have tried all the maintenance steps, and now it is telling me that the black ink itself is running low again- I HAVEN'T EVEN PRINTED OUT ANYTHING IN BLACK YET!!! The speed at which this ink runs out is astonishing, and because it all operates by the information coming from the chips on the cartridge-if it is telling the printer it is running low, it will not revert back, and that is it! You are stuck again (even though i have barely printed anything at all now)... totally ridiculous, technology is meant to advance with the years, but ironically i would probably be happier and less stressed out with a non Epson model 10 years older. I have spent a whole morning wasting around faffing about with this piece of S*^!(. This is a complete scam from EPSON, I will NEVER deal with them again. You have been warned! Very unhappy customer.

“SX130”

★★★☆☆

I purchased this appliance mainly because of the prices of replacement black cartridges. Before I actually replaced the black cartridge the machine was suggesting that I used the colour inks to produce black, so I accepted this. However, now that I have a full black cartridge, it refuses to print due to one of the colour cartridges being empty. I have just spoken online with Epson and they confirm it will not print if any of the inks are empty. But it is good at scanning which is the other use I use it for.

“You can trust Epson.”

★★★★★

I know absolutly nothing about this SX130 printer! But the mere fact that this is an Epson product speaks volumes, all I wish to say if someone wants reliability and is looking for a product that will last, then look no further, I have an Epson DX 7400 printer which is and has been a fantastic machine - and like the new SX130 is equiped for compatable replacement Inks, which is a much needed factor in reducing cost for everyone! The Scanner and copier feature's which this printer embodies, must be the icing on the cake in to-days market. Well done Epsom Could you enter this review in your prize draw for 2012 free printer.

“Very Poor Quality - broken after just 6 months”

★★☆☆☆

written by lorna_fr on 02/04/2012

Not very impressed with this item. I purchased about 6 months ago from Argos. It came with the cartridges just half full and didnt even include a power cable - i was lucky i had one from the last printer. Medicore quality printing, although the software was easy to install and run. After replacing the half full cartridges (which cost more than the printer!) i was really annoyed when it developed an imaginery paper jam. Now i cant do anything with it - theres no paper in it and no amount of resets will sort it. I cant even use the scanner only as preocupied with the imaginary paper jam. Would not touch this product again.
