Booked zip for transfers from Palma airport to Santa Ponsa and back. On landing no sign of driver, waited 40 minutes, during which time other drivers looked at my voucher and shook their heads and said never heard of them!, so that alone had the alarm bells ringing, I then called the "24/7 help line", which to my surprise rang out, after 3 attempts they picked up to inform me that the driver was 20 minutes away, this is now over an hour we had been waiting! They said the issue was due to my flight being delayed even though it landed on time! Anyway, 40 minutes later still no driver, I then call the help line again but get a tap on the shoulder, the driver has arrived!!
The above is the good part!!!! lol
The return leg, pickup was booked for 7:45pm, we arrived at the pickup point at 7:30, at 7:40 I get a phone call from zip informing me that the driver will not be coming and I should get a local taxi to the airport! As you can imagine I was not best pleased to hear this news but had no time to argue as I had to find a taxi to catch my flight home, which we managed to do.
Back home I email zip, they apologies and said they would give a full refund, when i checked my account they had refunded the return journey. When I questioned this they said the driver did what he was contracted to do and had picked us up from the airport, Their contract states the driver will wait 10 minutes if you are not there he will leave, but it seems fine for the driver to be over an hour late!!!
If you are going to book zip make sure you have a plan B you might get that phone call informing you the driver is NOT coming! I suppose i should be glad they phoned at all.
