Next time I'll hire a car or trust to getting a taxi at the airport. Although everything worked out ok in the end, it was no thanks to them. We heard afterwards that they are "OK" if you are going to a known location (ie hotel/apartment block) but almost useless if headed for anywhere less obvious (as we were - a private rented villa).
Having placed an initial booking - acknowledged - they waited 19 days before asking me to amend it - not enough address details provided.
I got a full postal address asap, and amended as asked. Transfer Voucher then sent to me.
I then had 3 further emails - please amend - not enough address details. Each time I replied, saying that I had already done so and had no more information to supply. I asked if someone could please phone me (gave landline number) to discuss and hopefully resolve the problem. Completely ignored.
Finally - thanks for amending your booking - will be in touch if necessary. Nothing further heard.
Arrived at Palma - and guess what? "We don't have enough address details. GPS?"
Yet again, I explained we had nothing else - and a whole clutch of drivers pulled out their phones and could find nothing on Google maps - which we already knew.
HOWEVER - with a cheerful driver, and clear directions from the villa owner, I navigated us there and we found it first time.
48 hours before return you need to confirm pick up - and yes, you know what's coming. "We need address details - GPS". Three conversations with three different people, each less helpful and more awkward than the one before. I said I could offer explicit directions as to where to find us. Each person even knew the major road we weren't far from! No, that wasn't good enough. Send an email (which some of us older people don't have the facility to do on the move).
It was only when we agreed a pick up location - several miles away - that they knew and that was convenient to them that the problem was solved. Luckily, a friendly ex pat drove us there.
From the start, they are riddled by procedure from which they cannot deviate. I think they are mostly staffed by pre-programmed automatons who can only offer stock answers. If providing transfers to more obscure locations is beyond them, they shouldn't take the bookings.
As I say, it all worked out OK in the end, but no thanks to them.
There is absolutely no way on earth I'd go near them again - and I advise anyone to think carefully before booking with them. I'll take my own advice next time - hire a car or grab a cab.
