AVOID AT ALL COSTS We stupidly prepaid a taxi to the airport but hummingbird could not fulfil the booking which is fair enough. However, instead of refunding the money straight away, they just took the money and never gave it back. After numerous emails they just go silent and either stop responding to emails or promise they will process the refund which up to this day (3 weeks later) I'm still waiting for. If you want to work with a decent and reliable taxi company, do not use them Massively disappointed and will warn others to NEVER use this company!

I used Hummingbird for a airport transfer. The service was impeccable, our flight arried slightly early, the driver was already waiting! FANTASTIC organisation! Furthermore the car was clean, the driver who was immaculatly dressed was very polite and helped me with my luggage. The drive home was smooth. All in all I couldn't have expected more. Fantastic service I will definitely use again and would RECCOMEND to all.

I booked a transfer online to collect me from Stansted, i had no luggage so i was out early, i thought I'd get a coffee as i was early, but to my suprise my driver was already at costa waiting with a name board!!!! He was smartly dressed and his vehicle was new and clean, brilliant experience, highly recommended!!

Used these guys to transfer me from London to Gatwick, great service! I had booked a taxi for 9 am received a phone call from hummingbird letting me know about heavy traffic and my taxi was sent 30 mins early. Driver was polite and the vehicle was clean! Overall a great experience! I would fully er omen and trust these guys.

Was traveling to London picked up by one of the Hummingbird drivers. Driver was smartly dressed, on time, clean vehicle and also helped with my luggage. Could not ask for anymore!! RECOMENDED TO ALL.

I have never given a bad review, but I had a bad experience with Hummingbird. I booked a pick up at Heathrow for 2:30 - an hour after my plane was due to arrive. For some reason Customs was completely backed up, and i was only half way through the line by 2:30. I called the office and told them that I was on line. The man who answered the phone's English was not too good, but he assured me that they would wait and that my driver would meet me at COSTA across from the exit. I got out after another hour - bleary from an 11 hour flight. There was no one there - actually there were thirty or forty guys there - and i walked up and down looking for fifteen minutes before I called the office. They didn't pick up the first two times i called. When they did pick up They told me the driver had left and they had emailed me. i had turned my email off as my phone was low on juice and they had said there was no problem. They said they had called but i had no record of any missed calls. Then they said they were charging me as a no show because the driver had waited over two hours. I had asked for the pick up at 2:30. It was 4:15 when I called. They were counting the time from 30 minutes after my plane was due to arrive no matter what time i had asked to be picked up. When I finally got the email it was sent at 3:40, and hour and ten minutes after I had asked for a pickup. The only thing they offered me was to get picked up if one of their drivers had a no show. It was the height of rush hour. I told them that i didn't think they should charge me; i wasn't a no show. The guy agreed but said there was nothing he could do, they had a policy of two hours late and the customer pays. After heated discussion said that they would refund my money, which had been paid through paypal. They did not. They were far more concerned that their driver might get a parking ticket than they were for the fact that they had stranded a customer. I ended up taking the tube to Northern London. I wish I had done that to begin with. Even though it was not my fault that we were held up in passport control, they have charged me the full 70 pounds. I think they are badly organized, overbook their dirivers and do not know what they are doing. In ordinary circumstances they may be fine, but don't count on them in a pinch. They are counting on people not prosecuting.

Prepaid for a return journey to the airport but on arrival the driver demanded £36. His English was poor so didn't understand why he wanted the additional payment. I showed him confirmation of my booking and payment but he refused to let us go. He actually grabbed my bags from my husband to hold them hostage! He called airport security on us but, having seen my receipts, agreed that I had paid up for my journey. Finally after lots of shouting from him at us, Dispatch confirmed to him that we had paid. At this point we did not receive any apology from him for his aggressive behaviour. I wrote a formal complaint to the company 4 days ago and have yet to receive an acknowledgement or an apology. I will not be using my return service and do not recommend that anyone uses their service.

I booked several weeks in advance, to be picked up at my place and brought to the airport. The evening before the travel, they asked me to confirm the booking and I did; they replied that my car would be there on time the following day. But it did not. When the car did not show up, I started calling. I was told first that the car had had a problem, then that it was on its way and then that they would try to contact the driver. Finally a driver showed up: 40 minutes later. The delay of the pick-up made as meet the rush hour and I reached the airport just before the gates closed. When I was getting out of the car, the driver asked me to pay more than what had been agreed. Horrible experience, I strongly recommend you choose some other company.

Hummingbird Cars UK We made arrangements with Hummingbird cars to transport us on 7/26/14 from Heathrow Airport in London, to Southampton. The driver arrived at the airport approximately one-half hour late. I inadvertently left my prescription glasses on the seat of the vehicle. Shortly after arriving in Southampton in the early afternoon, I attempted to call Hummingbird’s office. After several attempts to get through Leo answered the phone. I asked him if he could contact the driver and ask that he check the seat of the car for my glasses. I indicated I would arrange to meet him to retrieve them. He promised to contact the driver and call me back. I did not hear back from him that afternoon. The next morning I again had difficulty in getting someone to answer the phone. I finally reached Leo. He said he had not contacted the driver but would do so that morning. We were scheduled to depart on a cruise that afternoon. I told him I would reimburse Hummingbird for shipping the glasses to our home. He again promised to call me back. I was not surprised when he neither called or sent me an email. On returning to the U.S. I contacted our travel agent and asked that she contact Hummingbird regarding my glasses. I thought that Hummingbird would be more responsive to a travel agent. Hummingbird promised the agent he would check and get back with her. He did not respond. She attempted to re-contact him a number of times by phone and email, all to no avail. We will not use Hummingbird again and our travel agent indicated that they would no longer refer clients to them.

On my recent visit to London, I used Hummingbird at the recommendation of a friend. They responded quickly and accurately to my chat questions before I left. The driver came to the airport before my requested time, which was marvelous because I got through customs in record time and would have had a long wait. They communicated the driver's early arrival via phone message, so I knew right where to find him. He knew back roads to get to my hotel so we didn't waste time in the London morning rush hour traffic. He chatted about the London suburbs we went through, which made the trip seem even shorter. The return trip did have a slight glitch, as the driver was given the address of the hotel but not its name. Therefore he waited on a side street, not realizing the address was actually for the hotel. But calls between the office and our concierge straightened things out, so we left about 15 mins after the scheduled time. I made it to the airport in plenty of time for the flight. Both drivers were polite and professional. And the fee is quite reasonable. I suggest cash (which is what I used) v PayPal just in case there's any issue, you won't have to deal with a refund. I highly recommend this company.

Was picked up late in a car with the wing mirror held on with masking tape. Then the driver chose to drive from SW London into the centre of London at rush hour to get to Heathrow so of course was late. The following day the driver then didnt turn up to pick me up at the airport so I had to chase them to send another driver. Dreadful and personally wont use them again.

Dont use this company unless you dont mind missing your flight. I book car at 1830 but didnt recive any call from drive, we had to call the cs for details After 15 mins the driver called back and said he would arrive within 20mins, it was already 20 mins late at that time. After 20 mins, driver didnt show, even didnt answer my calls x 6times. End up i had to call a car from another company The car finally arrived 1.5 hours late that we had jumped into another car already Luckily i caught the flight but i cant do the tax refund becoz this fxxkixx company used up all my time!!!!!!

Veeeery unreliable!! Was booking with them to transfer my girlfriend to Heathrow airport. We payed £37 via paypal in advance and was expecting to see the driver in the morning. They were suppose to pick her up at 5am. Not only that they didn't show up but after we chased them on the phone they finally sent us another car. That was with 45 min delay with no explanation - and the car was from another agency. So once at the airport my girlfriend had to pay additional £50 as the driver told her he has nothing to do with Hummingbirds car and that he was told by their operator he will be payed in cash once at the airport!!!!! As there was no other way out she payed in order to catch her flight as she was already late. We chased Hummingbirds for at least 4 months for our money but they just ignored us or if they would answer our phone calls and emails they would claim that the money was reimbursed to our paypal account. Of course that never happened. Long story short - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID THEM. Better to walk than book with these people!!!!!

Coming for a touristic visit to London, I booked with these people from and to the airport. On the two occasions they were over a hour late and on coming back to the airport they caused me miss the aeroplane. They never took responsibility and ignored my complaints. I can’t understand how the authority/organisational body are still allowing these people to practice such a poor service that is a disgrace to the tourism in London.

Avoid it as the plague. I contracted their services once. Never arrived to the Hotel, called them twice and they sais it was sue to the traffic. After 50 minutes delay we had to take a taxi urgently and went to Gatwick by taxi, nearly lost the flight. I emailed them to tell them how disapointed I was and I am still awaiting their reply or apologize. Never again.

I booked a transport from Stanstead Airport to London via website and paid be PayPal. I immediately received a confirmation e-mail. When we arrived at the airport, the driver was waiting for us and ready to help. Overall a very pleasant experience, would definitely use again and recommend to a friend.

We booked Hummingbird cars for a transfer from Heathrow to Gatwick and for return one week later. We just had to tell our flight number and schedule on the Internet page. We got immediate response and confirmation via email. The friendly drivers were already waiting at our exits when we left the baggage claim so we didn't lose any time for searching. For us it was a perfectly relaxed and easy transfer. Big thanks to Hummingbird cars!

We had a very good experience using this service. Website is easy to use. Appreciated the ability to get a quote and the Live Chat feature for questions, plus being able to use PayPal. Driver was waiting for us at Heathrow. Car was clean and comfortable. Return trip to the airport was again no problem. Driver was at the hotel on time. Liked getting email confirmations as well.

Was the only company that I contacted that could provide a baby seat arrived on time,very professional drivers for both journeys and communication was excellent. Collection at airport perfect with waiting driver and clear name sheet held up for us.Could not fault the service
